Chapter-23

MARINETTE POV

I shortly woke up, I looked around and noticed that Adrien wasn't in the room. I yawned and stretched then walked to the bathroom to freshen up.

When I finished I noticed that my balcony door was opened, so I walked towards it and opened it all the way revealing Adrien leaning against the railing.

The day only had a small breeze, I walked towards him and layed on the railing looking at the beautiful view.

"Hi"

"Hi" he softly said. I looked at him then turned my attention to my phone.

Alya texted me but I never got a chance to text her back.

Hey Alya ~Marinette

I waited for a minute then my phone buzzed.

Hey girl! What's up:) ~Alya

Nothing much just outside on my balcony with Adrien. How are you feeling by the way? ~Marinette

Oh, well I've been better Mari. And is Adrien feeling ok Nino told me what happened. I feel bad for Adrien, he has suffered to much. ~Alya

Yeah I know Alya. :( but he says he's fine even thought, I know that truly he isn't fine. I just wish it was easier for both of us, but especially him ~Marinette

Yeah, well I hope it gets easier for the both of you. Hey Mari I have to go Nino is here. Bye love you and tell Adrien I said Hi :) ~Alya

Will do Aly, Love you too😘 ~Marinette

With that I closed my phone and let a sigh out. "Who was that?" I looked at saw Adrien look at my phone.

"It was Alya, she just wanted to know if you were ok. She also says Hi" I say softly.

"Oh" he looked down at the streets of Paris.

"Adrien?"

"Hm"

"Are you up for whats going to happen pretty soon?" I asked quietly. He nodded slowly not wanting to talk about the subject.

"Mari you ok?" Tikki asked as she sat on my shoulder. "yeah I'm fine Tikki" I look down at the city when Adrien walks towards me. I face him, when he suddenly hugs me I was surprise by his action but I hugged back slowly.

"Adrien?"

He pulled away and smiled. "Let's go beat my Father once and for all" I smiled and nodded.

"But first we need to attend school" Tikki said and I laughed.

*Time skip*

"Marinette c'mon lets go" Adrien pulled me as we entered our last period. We sat next to each other as usual.

Chloé walked in and froze as she saw Adrien sit by me, she looked at me and gave a small smile, but quickly replaced it with a frown and walked over to sabrina.

"What was that about?" I muttered.

"What was that?" Adrien said.

"Oh nothing just thinking of something" I smiled and he nodded.

*Time skip* (again)

"School, is finally finished" I groaned as I closed my locker and headed towards Adrien.

"Marinette, let's go" Adrien said as I nodded.

"Ok let's  finish this once and for all" He nodded. 

We walked to my house to relax until our patrol come's. 

"Wanna cookie Adrien?" I asked. i brought a fresh batch of cookies that my parents have made and left for us.

"Sure Mari" he smiled. He took a handful of cookies and started stuffing his face.

"Careful you'll choke" I laughed.

"But....I....love....cookies" he said with a stuffed mouth. I laughed even harder and fell to the ground crying. He finished chewing and joined me laughing.

"Really Adrien" I wiped away a tear from my eye and slowly sat up.

"Yup" he happily said.

"What time is it?" Adrien asked. I took my phone and saw that it was 8 at night.

"Time to patrol" I said as I set my phone down and Adrien sighed. "Let's get this over with" I nodded.

"Tikki, wake up time to patrol" I woke up Tikki as Adrien woke up Plagg.

"Ok" the little red Kwami said sleepy.

"Plagg wake up already!" Adrien groaned in frustration.

"Tikki be a dear and wake Plagg" Tikki nodded. She floated toward Plaggs direction and kissed his little cheek "wake up Plagg" she softly said. He smiled and woke up.

"Finally!" Adrien happily said.

"Yeah, yeah what ever" Plagg yawned. He floated by Adrien's side and rubbed his eye's "just say the words" He smiled.

"Plagg, Claws out!" Plagg got sucked in Adriens ring and transformed him into Cat Noir.

"Tikki ready?"

"Yup"

"Alright. Tikki, Spots on!" Tikki got sucked into my earrings and transformed me into Ladybug.

"Let's go" I nodded and we left.

ADRIEN POV

It was extra starry outside, and the moon was bright.

We are sitting on the Eiffel Tower, and enjoying the view when suddenly someone walked up to us from behind.

"Well, well this is a wonderful view" he clapped his hand them stopped midway to look at the view.

"Just like me and your mother, we always used to come here before she disappeared" Hawkmoth held his fist firm.

"Father, why are you really doing this? I know you want our Miraculous and everything, but what is your reason?" I asked standing besides Ladybug.

"Reason? Isn't simple son." he looked at me with emotion in his eye's "I want to find your mother"

I froze "w-what?" Ladybug put her hand on my shoulder to stop be from shaking. "Mom's alive?" I asked

Hawkmoth nodded "Thats why I need both of your Miraculous"

"Cat, we can find her another way but this way we can't afford handing our Miraculous to him" Ladybug said softly.

I knew she was right. There can always be another way.

"Sorry Father but I can't give you my Miraculous to help you" I strongly said.

"But what about your mother!" he hissed.

"There's always another way. But right now your was isn't the one"

"Ladybug now!" I yelled. Ladybug threw her yoyo in the direction of Hawkmoth and tied him up.

"You think this can hold me?" he asked smirking.

I shook my head "No, I know for a fact it can't hold you"

"Then why try?" he asked.

One of his akuma's appeared, and untied him.

"Because even if you are more stronger than me, I will defeat you in order to save everyone else" I got my metal rod out. I looked towards him and sighed. "Doesn't have to be like this father"

"In order to save your mother, it has to"
