Chapter Forty Eight: Day Three

1 hour has passed. 9 am. No kills. Tristan and Irina were searching the forest through binoculars. Irina then put her hand on Tristan's shoulder. Tristan looked at her.

"The teal team are about to come into contact with the dark red team." She said. Tristan looked and saw Maemi and Itona sneaking around from bush to to tree. Akito and Toka were doing the same thing, but just as Toka was about to go to a tree, Akito stopped her.

"What is it?" She asked.

"I saw something teal... I think it's Maemi and Itona." He said. Toka looked and saw Maemi and Itona moving around in the shadows quickly. She then nodded.

"What do we do?" She asked.

"Use Maemi's weakness against her." Akito said. He picked up a large rock and threw it in the air. Maemi noticed it and watched it go towards the sky. Itona saw it to.

"A rock?" He thought. His eyes then went wide and he jumped and pushed Maemi to the ground. As the rock fell to the ground, an Anti-Korosensei knife covered in dark red paint flew past them.

"Akito..." Maemi mumbled. The two sat up and Maemi noticed Akito's dark red hair. She then began to climb the tree they were hiding behind.

"What are you doing?" Itona asked in a whisper. Maemi pulled out a small ball that looked like a grenade. She then pulled the top off and threw it towards them.

"What's that?" Toka asked. The grenade then exploded, causing teal paint to go allover the two. Their eyes went wide as they looked up at Maemi.

"Use that to distract me next time." She stated.

"Looks like it's not Ayato." Toka said.

"Sh!" Akito exclaimed while Toka giggled.

"Karasuma. Team Dark Red. Down west." Tristan said.

"Got it." Karasuma said.

"That Maemi girl is very smart." Irina said.

"Yeah. Would you believe me if I told you her father was the assassin known as Robotic Assassin?" Tristan asked. Irina's eyes went wide.

"Are you serious?" Irina asked.

"She doesn't know that though. In fact, most these kids do have relatives who were once assassins, but they don't even know." Tristan explained.

"That explains the look in her eyes." Irina said.

"What do you mean?" Tristan asked.

"When I first became an assassin, my teacher and I ran into the Robotic Assassin. His eyes. Light brown. They had a hidden message inside them. I looked at Maemi when I first came to Class R. Her eyes. It's like they hold a secret." Irina said. Tristan watched her as she talked about Maemi. Tristan looked away.

"It's true she's a mystery." Tristan said as he continued to look around the forest through his binoculars. "When the class got taken. She kicked one of the assassins and he was thrown into a wall." Tristan said.

All of a sudden, Maemi appeared behind him and span around with her leg out and kicked him. Katsuo's eyes went wide as he was kicked into a wall.

"Since when was she that strong?!" Akito and Ayato exclaimed. Maemi landed perfectly on the ground and stood straight. She put one foot back and put her fists up, ready to fight. Katsuo got up and ran at Maemi. He went to hit her, but she blocked him. This continued. As they fought, Maemi began to walk back and Katsuo followed.
