Y/N's POV:

"Oh! You aren't bothering me, lass." Brynjolf chuckled. "Was there something you needed?"

"Well, yeah..." I started. "I- I kinda lost my journal..."

"O-oh?" He stuttered, startled at first. "Well I haven't seen it..." Brynjolf shrugged.

"Brynjolf~" I smirked.

"Yes, lass?" He raised an eyebrow.

"For saying you're a darn good thief, you're a terrible lier!" I laughed.

"W-what?! I don't even know what you're talking about Y/N." He said in a mocking tone. "Maybe you should keep your stuff picked up off the floor..."

I huffed, trying to seem serious, but I couldn't help but to crack a smile. "It was in my satchel..." I crossed my arms.

"Which was on the floor..."

After a long pause, we both bursted out laughing. Brynjolf got up, and opened his safe, and tossed me my journal.

"Why did you take it anyways?" I chuckled.

"Just curious... I don't know that much about you, and you've been in the thieves guild for a long time... So... I had the right to borrow the journal." He chuckled in reply, while he locked the safe.

"Oh suure~" I crossed my arms. "And you couldn't have asked me out on a walk with you or anything?"

"Oh, no, that was waaayyy out of the question lass" he rolled his eyes sarcastically. "Besides, I am a thief right?" He shrugged.

"How far did you read in it?" I sighed. Flipping through the journal.

"Oh only a page. You came to walk in just when I started to read it! But I did see something good." Brynjolf chuckled.

"Says the guy who's excuse was that he was naked." I laughed.

"Alright, you got me there." He laughed back.

"LOVE BIRDS!" Delvin yelled while he walked by the door.
