"I loved you." A voiced screamed from the music room, sadness and pain filled within its tone.
Jesus stopped at the door and backed up against the wall.
Brandon stopped next to him and then Callie like they were spy's or something. Whatever it was they seemed professional and fearless, and yet they were scared for their lives.
"I thought you loved me." The voice continued more painfully. They could all tell it was Nick. Even through the tears and the sniffing you could still here the soft, gentle tone.
"I'm sorry, please don't" Mariana cried heavily.
Jesus breathed in deeply as he closed his eyes. It was like it was his last breath. Like what he was about to do was some type of suicide mission. He opened his eyes then spoke.
"Nick." He yelled into the room.
Brandon and Callie both looked at home like he was crazy. In his mind he sort of was.
"Nick, it's me, Jesus." He continued then pushed the door to the music room open gently.
The door creaked open and Jesus steeped inside.
He felt a rush of fear of what he saw.
Nick pointing a gun at Mat, straight at his head, Zoe sitting on the ground curled into a ball crying her eyes out as if she had just awoken form a nightmare. Mariana stood halfway between Mat and Nick. She wasn't in the way of the bullet but she still faced Nick. Her faces flooded with tears and she shook wildly.
Once Jesus entered the room she looked at him and her faces dropped suddenly.
"Nick you don't have to do this." Jesus yelled at him nervously as he walked closer to Nick and his gun.
Brandon breathed in rapidly, his body beating up and down in each breath as he clenched down hard on his teeth.
"Ok, you're gonna get out of here" Brandon began softly without even looking at Callie.
Callie looked up to him confused.
"Get the-the cops or- while nicks here. You can go." He nodded.
Callie's lips parted slightly.
"What about you?" She asked concerned for what he was planning.
"I'll stay with the others- try and stop nick."
Callie turned to him. "Stop him? Did you not see that girl back there? He shot her, she was dead."
Callie watched as Brandon's has tightened. He knew it was a stupid idea. He wouldn't leave Jesus and Mariana and mat there alone with that sociopath. And he wasn't gonna let Callie stay either.
"Brandon don't be a hero." She muttered.
He could feel his arm stinging from the wound and the blood that dripped down to his elbow begin to dry.
He shook his head hesitantly then stepped into the frame of the door.
"Don't do this Nick." He said immediately then held up his hands as if to surrender.
Nick looked at him and he fell apart. More tears ran down his cheeks as his mouth arched.
"Why?" He quaked. "I'm already dead."
Jesus walked closer to Nick and held out his hands as if to grab the gun slowly.
"It's ok" Jesus stated softly. "You're gonna be ok, you just have to surrender."
Nicks hand shook and the gun rattled side to side.
"You're ok." Jesus continued then grabbed the gun in his grip. The metal sent a shiver up his spine. He just touched something that just someone, people, innocent young people. How was he suppose to feel.
"No!" Nick yelled suddenly then pulled the trigger. A bullet was sent flying out of the gun and across the room.
Jesus grabbed the gun from him and through it across the room.
Callie wondered into the room to see what was happening.
Brandon grabbed nick by the arm and tried to pull him down to the ground but nick was too strong. He pushed Brandon back.
Nicks eyes locked with mat. Who just incredibly dodged the bullet. How eyes were wide with frustration and anger.
He leaped towards mat and grabbed him at his throat.
Mat fell to the ground with nick on top strangling him with his bare hands. Mat tried to fight back but he was in such a hard position to break from. He could hardly move as his breath began to run out.
Mariana ran across the room and picked up the gun as if it was instinctive.
Once her hand wrapped around the handle she pointed it at Nick.
Everyone except nick turned to her. She was no longer the little girl with the  fear of not fitting in, she was now a women, a fighter.
Brandon's eyes widened as the guns barrel lines with nick.
"Get off of him." Mariana murmured.
Callie breathed in heavily not knowing what to do as she stood to the side.
Jesus looked to Brandon almost telling him to watch out. Mariana was gonna pull the trigger and it was unpredictable to where it would go, especially because the uneasiness of her hand.
"Get off!" She yelled louder as her head became all fuzzy with warmth.
Nick continued to push down on Mats throat as mats lips began to turn purple.
That's when the gun fired.
