Your POV

We walked through the gated-entrance of the town below. I was so surprised to see so many 'gods'. I had no idea how many shapes or forms they could come in, some didn't look like it could possibly be alive. And some of them didn't have any source of clothing on, male and female alike. One was half skeleton-half woman, cut straight down the middle, with nothing to cover anything.

"It's best not to stare." Oni whispered. I averted my gaze quickly. I followed Oni quietly, looking at my feet. I heard whispers about us as we past. I knew Oni heard them too, but he ignored them. I couldn't help but listen.

"A mortal...here." "What is going on?" "He's free? Since when?" "Don't go near that thing!" "She's filthy."

I looked down at myself to see that the last whisper I heard was right. My dress was tattered, the white apron was stained, the sleeves and neck were toned dark with dried sweet and tears. I reached for my hair. Let's leave it as I couldn't run my fingers through it without the painful tug of tangles. I caught up to Oni, and tapped his shoulder. He looked back but kept walking.

"I-I need to-" Something, someone rather, cut me off. She pushed past me and...picked up Oni? When she put him down I realized how much taller she was than him. She had at least a good six inches on him. I thought Oni was tall, I barely rose past her waist. She slapped him on the back and laughed heartily.

"Look who we have here! I'd never thought I'd see you this soon. Man...look at you! That mask really allowed you to mature. Your jawline is much stronger than before." Oni's ears burned slightly.

"Leave it to you to notice the little details." He chuckled.

"Of course! You look much more menacing!" She laughed loudly, her turquoise hair bouncing. It was then she noticed me. Her smile dropped into a malevolent scowl. "Oni, it looks like you have a rodent problem." I shriveled under her glare, her green eyes were much more intense than Oni's gaze.

"Luminite, this is (Name). She's here to see Hylia." I blinked at him. Since when did we agree on this? We'd have to have a discussion about plans and deciding for myself.

"Hmmm...well she diffienitly isn't seeing Hylia dressed like that!" Oni looked at me. He almost seemed reluctant to go, but after doing a once over of my outfit I think he decided to. He began walking in another direction, but Luminite stopped him. "I think your forgetting a little detail." She leaned down and whispered something in his ear. Oni's eyes widened slightly, and he swallowed.

"Ahem, right. I forgot." Oni side-glanced me then looked back to Luminite, raising his eyebrows expectantly.

"No, no, no. Do you know what people will think of me? I have a reputation to keep!"

"In their culture it is considered highly inappropriate and inconsiderate for me to be in the same vicinity at the time. I can't go. You must understand." Luminite rolled her eyes to my direction. I just stared at her, wide-eyed. She sighed and rubbed her temples.

"Alright...fine." Luminite threw her hands up in a mock surrender.  Oni gave me a quick but reassuring glance that didn't do it's job to well, I was definitely not reassured .

"Bring her back in an hour. Exactly." Luminite, I guess, nodded. Oni looked at me once more before walked away. I wanted to run to him and scream: "Don't leave me with this stranger who looks like she wants to kill me!" But I resisted. If Oni let me go with her, he must trust her. The voices were about half and half on this, but all of them were cautious. Luminite began walking, regardless if I was following or not.

I practically had to run to keep up with her, her stride was so long. I took the time now to look around at other outfits, considering I was going to be wearing one. Luminite was in a dark blue dress. The skirt was short and kinda form fitting, her belt had a drop-down angular fabric with an insignia I couldn't understand, she had leggings with cut-outs running up the sides, a gauntlet on one hand, a band on the other arm just below her shoulder, and boots. Even as a mortal, I could tell she was a warrior. Everyone else's clothes were just as intricate or even more.
