The Malhotra family greeted the Khanna's at the door step.

Ragini welcomed them inside as Manik touched Ragini & Nachiket's feet & then the Malhotra's entered inside and made themselves comfortable.

Both the families were busy in talking to each other but Manik was least interested and was continuously busy on his phone which Ragini noticed but She shooed away the thoughts as Abhimanyu had told her about Manik being a workaholic & how he never compromised anything related to his work & today he had to come early from office & his work would be pending.

By the way Mrs Khanna , jis kaam ke liye hum yanha Aaye hai voh ker lein??
Nyonika asked smiling as everyone realized that they totally forgot the reason why they were here while Manik just gave he FINALLY look to Mukti who was busy in talking to Abhimanyu, she saw her brother & laughed.
Haan haan Mrs Malhotra kyun nhi rukiye mai Nandini ko le ker aati hun.
Ragini was about to getup when Abhimanyu stopped her & got up.
Mom you sit I'll bring her down.
Everyone smiled at Abhimanyu and he ran upstairs to get Nandini.

Soon Abhimanyu came down with Nandini , both were laughing and Nandini was hitting his arm in a fun way . Everyone smiled looking at their bond but Manik was lost , lost in her smile , her laugh that was echoing in the house.

Manik wasn't able to take his eyes off her innocent face , her long flowing hairs and of course her free smile.

Bhai lagta hai first attempt mai hi meri bhabhi final ho gyi hai , kya bolte ho??
Mukti asked in a slow voice.

Manik replied absent minded as he was busy in admiring Nandini who was now sitting between his mom & dad.
Hearing Manik,  Mukti had an evil grin on her face & when Manik realized what he said, he corrected himself immediately and tried to balance the situation.
I mean , I think mom & dad like her so maybe they'll choose her , so yeah.
Manik said looking here and there while Mukti grinned.
Mrs Khanna I think now we should let the children talk to each other alone after all their decision will be the final one.
Nyonika said.
Ji ji kyun nhi , (turning towards Nandini) Nandu,  take Manik upstairs to your room.
Ragini said.
Ji Chachi , ( turning towards Manik) come....
Nandini smiled and got up and started moving towards her room while Manik followed her.

Both reached Nandini's room and she took him to her balcony which faced a beautiful backyard.
Both didn't knew what to say and were fighting with their inner self.

Both of them said together , looked at each other and then burst out laughing.

OK ok, so, hey I am Manik Malhotra.
Manik controlled his laugh & forwarded his hand after introducing himself.

Hello I am Nandini Khanna.
Nandini said joining their hands for a handshake.

Well Nandini , look, honestly before coming here I was not in a mood of getting married.
Nandini looked at Manik , she was hurt which was clearly visible from her eyes which Manik noticed but continued.
Its not because i dont like you or something, Actually its just that,  because I am planning to open new chain of Hotels in USA for which I will have to travel alot & work day and night & just because of this I may not be able to give the quality time to my wife which she deserves and I really don't want.
Manik took a deep breath and continued while Nandini just listened to him carefully.
Look Nandini, I know its too early to say this, I don't know but since the time I saw you today I have started liking you and believe me this has never happened with me before, I don't know if we'll call it a love at first sight or anything but I really really like you and I don't have amy problem in getting married to you, but the decision is totally yours.
I have told you my situation & plans , now it totally upto you if you want this marriage or not.
Manik said looking in her eyes.

I am happy that you opened up with me & told me your plans Manik. Even I am in my 3rd year of college and I had the same doubt if I'll be able to give some quality time to my would be husband and keep him happy but now after meeting you &knowing you and your plans, I think we are sailing on the same boat and I don't have any problem if I get married to you.
Nandini said the last line looking down at the floor as she blushed.

Listening to Nandini, Manik's happiness had no boundaries  , he wanted to jump & hug Nandini tightly but somehow he controlled himself.

Umm Nandini are you sure about it? I mean, is it your own decision or you are forced for this?
Nandini was overwhelmed by Manik's gesture & answered smiling.

Chacha & Chachi never force me to do anything that I don't want to and even this is totally my decision.
Manik smiled and nodded.

I think we should go down stairs, everyone would be waiting for us.
Nandini nodded hearing Manik as they made their way downstairs.

As soon as they reached their families jumped on them to know their decision.

What is your decision Nandu??
Ragini asked Nandini as she smiled and nodded her head in approval as Nachiket , Ragini & Abhimanyu jumped in happiness and hugged her tightly.

AT THE SAME TIME

So Manik what do you think??? Is it a yes???
Nyonika asked expecting a yes from her son though it was least expected.

Umm, she is a nice girl & I don't mind getting married to her.
Manik replied trying to sound normal though Mukti caught him and hugged him immediately.

I knew meri bhabhi final ho gyi hai & I am very happy!
Mukti whispered in Manik's ear as he smiled a little while Nyonika hugged Harsh.

Both the families turned to each other with a smile on their faces.

Humari taraf se toh haan hai! Manik ko Nandini pasand hai!!
Nyonika announced happily as the smile on Khanna's face grew wider.
Humari taraf se bhi haan hai! Nandini ko bhi Manik pasand hai!
Ragini announced as both the families hugged eachother except Manik & Nandini who were smiling at their families standing in a corner.
Ragini sabka muh toh meetha karvaao!
Nachiket said as Ragini smiled.
Ji ji kyun nhi abhi le ker aayi!!
Ragini went to get sweets while others talked except Nandini & Manik who were sitting silently stealing glances at each other.

After having sweets everyone were discussing about the marriage when Nyonika spoke.

Well I can't wait to bring Nandini home to if you all don't mind can we have the engagement this week?
Nyonika asked with a little hesitation.
Everyone was a little shocked at first but soon composed themselves and Ragini spoke up.
Well we don't have any problem as now a days Nandini is kinda free as she doesn't has her extra classes.
Hearing Ragini,  Mukti jumped in happiness while others smiled.

I'll so its fixed we'll have Manik & Nandini's engagement this week !
