When They Fix Your Gem ~Garnet~

You sat under that tree until it got dark. You were terrified but you didn't want to go back home. Your mom would probably go nuts on (enemy name). It sounds good but what if she went to jail or something? The crack was pretty big. You suddenly felt like something was wrong. You looked around and noticed glowing eyes looking at you from a distance. Great. The eyes got closer and suddenly disappeared. After what sounded like a struggle your mom walked towards you. You looked up at her.

"(Y/n) what are you doing out here?" She crouched in front of you and you cover your gem.

She looked at you and gently removed your hand from your gem. She looked at it for a moment.

"Ah. I see. Come on. Let's fix this." She said as she picked you up.

You wanted to tell her. You wanted to talk to her. You wanted to do it so badly. But you couldn't speak. You looked up at her and she looked down at you.

"(Y/n)." She said as she walked.

Tears formed in your eyes and you hugged her tightly. She stroked your hair.

"It's alright." She said as she walked inside.

Everyone looked at you. You could see them talking. But the only thing you seemed to hear was your mom. She told them she would be back and carried you to the warppad.

"(Y/n)." She said as she warped both of you to the fountain.

You looked up at her.

"Why didn't you come to me when this happened?"

You look down and think of how to explain without words. The stream ended and she carried you to the fountain. You looked at the statue of Ross Quartz. You mom put you in the fountain and your gem healed. She pulled you out.

"Better?" She asked.

"Yeah." You say as you nod.

"Good." Garnet hugged you tightly.

You hugged back.

"Now. Why didn't you come to me?" She asked.

"I....didn't want you to worry I guess. I'm not sure how to explain." You say as you look down.

"(Y/n). I already know what happened."

"You do?"

"Yes."

"Oh..." You looked down.

"You did good." She said as she looked at you.

"I did?" You asked as you looked up.

"Yes. You helped your friend. That was a good thing."

"But I lost the fight."

"The fight. Not the war." She replied was shs placed a hand on your shoulder.

"What do you mean?"

"Now that you have a gem you'll have a weapon. I'm going to train you so that you know to fight."

"Thanks mom!" You say as you hug her.

"No problem." She said as she hugged back
