y/n is apart of one of the biggest gangs in los angles and shawn is the leader of their enemy gang.

the cool, crisp air blew onto my crimson tinted cheeks, causing me to shiver as we were running for our lives.

"fucking run, if they catch us... we're fucked."

and so we did. we ran and ran. the lights and sirens creating a rhythm to the pounding of our footsteps, running along the wet sidewalks while rain poured down on us, coating each of us with moisture of the skies.

"pull over now! we have the warrant to your arrest!"

shit.

before i knew it, we came to a dead end, all three of us having to throw ourselves over the barricaded fence in one of the most sketchiest neighborhoods in all of la.

but just as kayla, our gang leader's girlfriend, was hopping the fence, her foot slipped and cut her skin on the way down from the fall.

nolan and i tried to help her but as the sirens became heard again, she couldn't let us risk going to a life in prison.

"go! find the others, you can't give up the fight."

and just as we put up protest, "family before suffering" flowing through my mind, the cops came running our way, on the opposite side of the fence where kayla was, adrenaline coasting through my veins.

nolan grabbed my arm and drug me with him, leaving my best friend to a life of lock up.

"shit y/n, keep up! don't end up like kayla." he growled, out of breath.

"you'd feel the same fucking way if your best friend just got a life sentence you dick!"

he rolled his eyes as we kept running, "shut the fuck up and keep running!"

and right when i thought we were safe, i ran into a significantly taller figure, having to take a double take from the impact.

i looked up to see someone i was never supposed to come within 100 feet up, let alone inches.

"oh look at what we have here! you come from 1022?" he spoke in a menacing voice, towering over me with a smug look across his rather innocent looking face.

"shit, you're the famous shawn mendes? big, intimidating, lethal mendes? this is so funny, you have such a baby face." i spoke up, my sassiness getting the better of me.

his eyes narrowed as he took a step closer to me and just when i thought he would slap me, his lips parted into a mocking grin. "darling, i'd keep that pretty mouth of yours shut. you're lucky i'm nice, or you'd be so fucked right now."

and so i took another step towards him now, a sly smile covering my lips, "try me, mendes. what's so fucking special about you anyway? ya don't look too intimidating by the looks of you."

his lips went into a straight line, licking his lips before he spoke, "multiply. don't fuck with people in multiply. i'm warning you now. those damn lips will get you a lot more around some asshole's dick than spitting in my face."

my hand moved up to slap him straight across the face, however his hand caught my wrist, "too quick for you, huh? funny, thought i wasn't the guy you thought i'd be. do you have a second observation?"

his mocking and infuriating smile drove me insane and i desperately wanted slap his ass back into place, "you're not shit boy, some little baby face won't scare me. try fucking harder."

and with that, he backed me up against the drenched concrete wall, his hands gripping my wrists. his eyes were full of furry, a nearly black color opposed to the hazel i first saw. i tried standing my ground but as his grip on me tightened, the pain became too much and i was soon whimpering against the wall he threw me on.

"sacred now, babygirl?"

"i don't fuck with people in multiply." i spit, desperately trying to get away from his grip.

he chuckled, my eyes widening at his change in attitude, "oh but doll, i'm the leader of multiply."
