Chapter 16. Who?

Third Person's POV

"ENOUGH!"

The commanding voice made the two people stop on their tracks and turn their heads on the owner of the voice. But after a few seconds, Nami continued attacking.

"No I won’t! He's going after you to kidnap you and it's my job to protect you." Nami shouted at the young Lord.

"We’re here to kill him not kidnap him." The guy corrected, avoiding Nami’s kunai.

Nami didn't notice Yamato and Yugao together with the girl, land beside Kohaku.

"Yume, stop it. The mission is over." The girl said at her boyfriend who was fighting Nami. He stopped fighting Nami after the Lord yelled to stop. He just avoided the orange head’s attack after that and is just waiting for her to stop.

"How can I stop if she keeps on attacking me, Hanabi? It will be a great help if you stop her." Yume retorted and jumped a good distance back. Still, Nami continued to run at him.

Nami didn't know on why his body keeps on attacking the guy named Yume. Her mind told her to 'Stop' but her body says 'Attack'. She was fully taken over by her instincts, to protect the person who is going to kidna--scratch that, kill her new friend. Her new big brother.

Nami was suddenly pulled by her hands, successfully stopping her from attacking.

"Stop Nami." Yamato commanded.

"Yeah." She breathed, releasing the Kunai on her hand. “Thanks for stopping me.”

"WHAT?!" Nami growled.

"Yeah. Hanabi-san told us the story on our way here." Yamato said, nodding at the girl.

"Sorry. I've been doing this for a while now. I always bet my life on the line. It became a habit." Kohaku apologized guiltily. 

It's been minutes since the fight. Haku explained everything to the two groups of ninjas that he hired. He said that he hired other ninjas to protect him which is Nami's group. Another ninjas to kill him, Yume and Hanabi, which failed. The truth is, this is the first mission that he put his life on the line. He just lied to them that it was a habit of his, that he always put his life always on the line. He just hires ninjas to kidnap him and ninjas to rescue him for his own entertainment, how ninjas move and fight after he helps those who needs his help.

But this, He didn't expect Nami to be that strong. He made a bet with destiny, 'To die or not to die.' Either way, it's good news for him. If he dies, he can finally meet the girl who disappeared on the other life. But destiny of him dying, failed. It intervened and assigned Nami to protect him.

"Tch. You should value your life more. If you die, some people will most likely be hurt and sad." Nami turned around, annoyed. She started walking but after she took one step, she felt a very sharp pain, pierce through her chest that made her lose consciousness in a second. She fell limply at the ground.

"Damn. She used too much jutsu. Yamato, her heart! Let's do the healing jutsu. Now!" Yugao shouted and Yamato popped beside her.

They made synchronized hand signs and rested it on Nami's chest. A glow of greenish yellow. A different color from the usual medical ninjutsu.

If Nami's heart illness acts up, use this healing jutsu. Yugao, you know medical ninjutsu. Yamato, you support her with your chakra. It will not heal her, but it will help lessen the pain that she suffers and help her heart get back to its normal beating. Her illness will slowly kill her if she uses too much chakra. If she exerts herself too much, this might happen. She is strong and independent but she is selfless sometimes.
