Alyssa Snow (Dragon Age x Game of Thrones)

Lore Notes:

Circle:

As Circles are an aspect of the Chantry, for Westeros to have a Circle, then there has to be a lore reason as there is no Chantry in Westeros, it has its own religions and I don't want to change that.

So.....

The Chantry approached the crown of Westeros shortly before the Dance of Dragons, but Viserys Targaryen refused the demand that Westeros enforce the creation of a Circle as it was not the demand of their religion.

However, following the Dance of Dragons, with the country recovering from the civil war, and with the Chantry's army heading for Westeros, Aegon III folded to the Chantry's demand and created a Circle of Magi and allowed the Chantry to have their Templars round up any mages from across the country and then housed them in the keep of Sandstone in Dorne.

It was a difficult but eventual successful shift in regards to magic in Westeros.

Whilst the Templars stationed there are of the Andrastian faith, it is not as heavily pushed onto the mages as it is in Thedas. Faith of the Seven and the Old Gods worship is allowed.

Westeros and Thedas Location

Thedas is situated to the West of Westeros. With Ferelden being the closest county to the seven kingdoms.

Timeline Change:

Just a note on the timeline, because I want Alyssa to be 20 at the start of the series instead of 17, so Robert's Rebellion was 20 years before S1, Jon and Robb are also 20 to line up right. All the other kids are the same age as that happened in the between time and it is only really Jon and Robb that are linked to the dating of the Rebellion.

Targaryens and a link to Mythal:

Given their connection to dragons, I like the idea that the Targaryens are all descendants of Mythal that just happened to end up mixing their elven blood with humans.

Races:

With dwarves, elves, and qunari in Dragon Age, I did think about their spread to the GOT world. Personally, I don't see the qunari getting that far east. The dwarven deep roads are supposed to cross the entire world, so there would be dwarven strongholds underground scattered around and therefore there would also be surface dwarves that have come up to the surface at some point. So there will be dwarves in Westeros.

I see there being one Dalish clan that lives and travels across Westeros and there are city elves. As with Thedas, these elves tend to be servants and live in alienages. King's Landing therefore has an alienage.

Flora and Fauna

Even spread of flora and fauna across both worlds, limited by climate.

Book Order:

So the main focus will be Alyssa Snow as her story will cover GOT S1-8 whilst including Inquisition and Trespasser, however, I do plan on writing up Origins, 2 and Veilguard with their own characters whilst including the GOT world. Because these will come after the fact, the world state needs to be set for Alyssa's story.

So if there is anything in Origins and 2 that you would like to be set, then just let me know. I do have a few preferred outcomes myself, but I am open to other ones if enough people want it.
