You had just grabbed the last item on your shopping list, placing it in your basket and began to head towards the cashier.

It had been 2 weeks since the incident with Nico and you could not get the raven haired boy out of your head. Stepping into your kitchen reminded you of him, as did the couch he had lay on while you tended to his wounds.

But you were certain that the two of you would never met again. In a city as large as New York, what were the chances of that?

Sighing you tried to clear your head of Nico and got in line at the cashiers'. That was when chaos brooke out. The seemingly peaceful supermarket trembled at a loud roar and the sound of explosions.

People dropped their baskets, some grabbed their children rushing to the exits for safety. You noticed smoke begin to rise from one of the isles, and without thinking - again - you quickly made your way to that isle curious to see what had caused such a terrifying roar.

Not wanting to be seen, you crouched behind one of the shelves and tried to look through the growing   amounts of smoke.

Through the smoke you managed to make out a large figure, it took the shape of a man but was far to ginormous to be one. You could hear the people around you trying to get out of the market screaming things such as bombs and armed soldier.

The figure of the man kept switching between begin large and brooding and normal sized carrying a gun. Something was definitely wrong with your eyesight.

This ugly looking man with extra arms was not what made you gasp in surprise though. For when the giant of a man was violently pushed back, closer towards you. You noticed that the person fighting with the man welding a large black sword was non other than your raven haired friend.

Well he wasn't yours...

Through the clashes of metal and grunts from the giant, you didn't realize that your gasp was heard by the pair fighting.

The large man turned first towards you, revealing his ugly and deformed features. The thing, you decided to call it now that you no longer believed that such a creature could be human stretched its bloodied lips - if you could call them that - into a creepy smile that made you shiver out of fear.

Ignoring Nico, the creature began to make its way to you, curious as to how you were able to see his true form. That's when Nico noticed your now trembling form, trying to back away but only managing to walk into a fallen shelf.

Nico's eyes looked as if they were about to bulge out when he realized it was  you  whom the giant was going after. What were you doing here?? Nico groaned in frustration as he quickly ran after the giant, ready to finish him one and for all.

He slashed at the giants feet stopping him from getting any closer to you, but not before it managed to grab at one of your ankles causing you to fall on some broken glass jars landing on your right hand. You yelled out in pain as countless amounts of glass pieces broke through your skin, face twisted in pain.

Your yell only fueled Nico's hate for the giant as he gave one last blow to the giant before it vanished in a cloud of gold dust.

Nico stood in place breathing hard, he tried to calm himself down as he put his sword away and walked towards you.

You were trying to get to your feet and had just managed to but swayed a bit as your knees gave out. Nico quickly held you up by your waist as you clung onto his shirt wincing in pain as your bloodied arms came in contact with his chest.

'(Y...y/n)?' Nico asked uncertainly not wanting to believe that was really you he was holding.

You could only nod.
