"Keira you can't honestly believe it's a good idea to stay here." Alan said as Keira looked around at them with a troubled expression. She looked down at the baby moving around attempting to move towards Dino who was watching it just as intently.

"But-"

"Keira, you're hurt." he cut her off.

She looked up to Owen but he only nodded in agreement.

"But I don't want to go back to Montana." she said standing up slightly wobbly placing the baby under one of the working heat lamps.

"And you don't have to sweetheart." Ellie said. "We just need to get off the island."

"But what about..." she turned her focus back on the baby.

"They are working on containing the animals right now." Owen said. "Under Claire's orders none of them will be hurt. We still have a few scientists here. They'll look after them. All of them."

"You need to heal Keira." Ellie said.

Keira stood out in the plains looking out trying to ignore the bodies of the fallen Apatosaurus herd. She glanced over when she heard movement and saw the triceratops coming into the clearing to graze. She saw a small one moving at a quicker pace in her direction.

"No way!" she laughed. The triceratops stopped before her.

"Oh you have gotten bigger." she said holding her hand out. The triceratops nudged it with the side of her face to avoid catching her with her growing horns. "How's the herd treating you?" she asked.

One of the elders let out a call. The little one turned and took a glance at Keira before leaving to return to the herd. "I'll take that as good." she smiled.

Ellie stood beside Alan as Keira requested to head to the plains before they were to leave the island for Costa Rica. Owen was talking to Barry on the radio in the car waiting for them.

"After all that...look how happy she is around them." Ellie said.

Alan grimaced as the baby triceratops attempted to run over to her. It stopped before her and nudged her hand.

"She has a way with them, doesn't she?" Owen's voice said beside them. They glanced over at him as he watched her as the baby returned to the herd.

"She rescued that baby from the Riding Pen."

"Christ..they were riding them...did you hear that Ellie?"

"I did Alan." she said but her attention was on her daughter who started to head back towards them.

"Ready sweets?"

Keira only nodded walking passed them to the car.

They sat in the helicopter, Keira rested her head against the plane looking out the window as Owen held her hand. Dino rested at their feet as Lowery harassed the female pilot.

"So how long have you two been together?" Malcolm asked Owen observing their linked fingers.

"Awhile."Owen said protectively tightening his grip.

Alan smirked at Ellie. "I'm starting to like him."

They arrived in Costa Rica and were placed in a hotel. Of course, Owen was given a separate room from Keira by Alan's request but that didn't stop him as he knocked on her door.

She opened it up and gave him a small smile before letting him in. She walked over and sat on her bed. She was cleaned up now, her hair was damp as she air dried it after her shower. She was only in a sports bra and leggings as he walked in and he felt his skin grow hot as his eyes scanned over her body.

He cleared his throat.

"Feeling better?"

"I feel clean." she answered. He sat down beside her and pulled her back so that they were lying on their backs. They turned to face each other.

"So it's been a hell of a week." he said. "I wonder if we'll get overtime." he said. She laughed.

"We'll probably just get a book of lousy coupons."

"It'll make taking you out for dinner a lot easier on the wallet."

"Oh my prince charming." she said. He rolled over onto his stomach.

"You know we keep getting interrupted but there was a reason why I wanted you to come to the park center." he said.

"And why is that?"

"I got you something. We were supposed to pick it up in the mail center. Luckily, I went there and it was still there."

She furrowed her brow in curiosity. "What did you get?" she asked.

"Nah uh, let me have my surprises!" he said. "Impatient woman."

He reached back into his pocket and pulled out a box handing it to her. She watched him in surprise.

"Go on and open it!"

"And you call me impatient." she said before opening it up.

A wide smile drew across her face.

Owen watched her pleasant reaction and she opened the box and saw the necklace. It was a long necked skeleton, each bone accounted for accurately.

"H..how did you-"

"Do you like it?" he asked her.

"Of course, it's beautiful."

"That's the important thing." he said before kissing her forehead.

She leaned in and kissed him lightly before Dino let out a groan causing them to laugh.

Dino jumped up on the bed at the sound of laughter and began nosing them to play.

"Poor Dino has been so neglected these past couple of days." Keira said ruffling his fur.

"Don't worry buddy, we're going to order you the biggest steak on the island." he said.

Keira awoke the next morning and saw the alarm clock hit seven, she felt Dino at her feet and for a moment she believed she was back in her home on Isla Nublar. But as her eyes focused she saw she was in the hotel room. She felt warmth around her waist and heard the light snoring of Owen behind her. She turned on her side slowly to aggravate her soreness and cuddled into him.

His snoring ended as he awoke to her movement. He held onto her tightly before his eyes grew heavy and he fell back asleep.

When they finally awoke that morning it was around eleven. They joined Alan, Ellie and Malcolm for brunch.

"You sleep alright sweetie?" Ellie asked running her hand over Keira's hair. She nodded before looking out at the water hitting the beach near them.

She looked to Owen who seemed concerned before looking down to his plate.

"What's that around your neck?" Alan asked.

Keira looked over. "Owen got it for me." she smiled.

Alan raised a brow at Owen who smiled at him lifting his arms in a shrug as the mother and daughter gushed over the piece of jewelry.

"Women." Malcolm said but cleared his throat looking away as the two women glared at him.

"I'm worried about her Alan." Ellie said as they stood on the balcony of the hotel room watching Keira on the beach with Owen and Dino throwing a ball.

"I know you are...I am too."

"She hasn't said much since leaving the island."

"Ellie, it was a traumatizing experience, you remember how we were when we came back." he said.

"I don't think it's the same this time Alan." she said.

"What do you mean?"

Ellie didn't say anything as Dino came running full force at Keira with a ball in his mouth before knocking her back into the sand.
