(Inuyasha's pov)
I woke up to the sun blaring in my eyes, and as soon as I opened them they burned. So I closed them again.
The room was warm, but my body felt cold. Her window was open to just a crack, as her drapes danced gently in the wind.
"Hm?"
I rolled around on Kagome's pink bed, and frowned, opening my eyes one more time, and this time I ignored the sting.
Squinting I got up and held my head, although I didn't really have a headache. Then I sighed as I realized the room was empty, only I existed.
"Gone again. I'm not surprised. She does this every morning. I swear this school routine is a hassle."
Rolling my eyes I jumped up from my bed and opened the bedroom door. There I was greeted by Sota who zoomed passed. Frowning, I rushed to the stairs before him and grabbed his collar so he couldn't run anymore.
"Whoa! Hey!"
He sounded really angry at first, but when he turned around, not a trace of anger on his face. Not even my fist could knock the smile away.
"Inu ni-chan! Good morning!"
I tilted my head, "What are you doing? Aren't you supposed to be in that.... School?"
Sota's smile grew and he began to giggle. I let go of his collar just cause there was no reason to hold him anymore.
Once I did, his arms flew behind his back as he rocked back and forth in his heels.
"Oh, it's Saturday morning!"
Blinking, I was completely lost. What's a Saturday?
"Saturday?"
Sota laughed again, probably at how confused I looked. But how was I supposed to know? Kagome never told me of such a thing as Saturday.
"Yeah. There's no school today." He giggled.
My ears twitched in excitement, and I looked passed Sota and to the stairs. If there's no school, that means Kagome is still here!
Without another look at Sota, I ran down the stairs, my heart pounding at the thought of Kagome. It only got faster as I got closer and closer.
"K-Kagome!"
Now I was the one with a smile that couldn't be taken. I'm not sure why I'm so happy, I guess it's cause I don't have to wait seven hours to see her.
"Inuyasha?" Kagome peered out from around the opening of the kitchen, and I didn't even stop for a second. My ears twitched up and down at a faster rate as I slammed into her for a tight hug.
I heard her laugh, and she seemed to be a little stunned when I backed up a little bit. But she was smiling as well.
Once I gathered my thoughts again and calmed down, I looked away from her. My face felt very warm.
"S-Sorry. I was just happy to see you..."
"That's fine." She giggled and walked back into the kitchen. "I thought it would be nice to make breakfast for everyone."
I looked back up and she was already back in the kitchen. That was when I noticed the savory aroma of bacon and eggs. Satisfied, I walked in behind her.
"Hey Kagome?"
I stood beside her as she cooked breakfast. Her black hair twirled and her brown eyes glistened under the bright kitchen light as she looked at me. I held my breath and a small smile appeared on my face.
She's just too beautiful. I don't know how I missed it before.
"What is it Inuyasha?"
"After breakfast, is it time to go back to my time now?"
She laughed, and I did as well. Quietly however as she looked back to her cooking. Then she carefully laid out the breakfast on three plates.
"I was thinking about it."
Smiling, I watched her carefully handle the hot bacon. I tilted my head, listening to the song she hummed quietly to herself.
"What about your mother and uncle? Aren't they eating too?"
Kagome set the plates down on the table and called her brother, then smiled back in my direction.
"They went to the store for this week's groceries."
I watched her walk back to the counter and point to a large plastic bag. As Sota came rushing in to eat.
"She left ramen and other things for the rest of the gang when we go back. Because she said she was not going to be back in time."
Yes! Ramen! I wanna eat it now!
"Ha! Really? She's the best!"
Kagome laughed, "Eat, and eat quickly so we can go back."
"Deal!"
I nodded sitting at the table. With her and Sota.

After breakfast, we walked outside. It was so warm, and so comforting at the same time. I loved the cold wet dew from the grass as my feet fell upon the green blades.
I felt so excited to finally have been going home. And with Kagome even! Shippo would be glad at least.
We finally reached the old well in the little shrine just ahead of he sacred tree. Kagome leaned over the edge, the Shikon jewels glowing purple in her hands.
"Ready Kagome?"
I asked softly, and she backed up a little bit, turning to face me, her back against the well.
"Ready as I'll ever be." She smiled.
Nodding I walked slowly up to her, slipping my hand into hers gently, then she gripped it. And with that, we were off, into the old era once again.
