School Jerk, Meet My Fangs

So this is a typical highschool day. Now I see why it's terrible. Josh was in every one of my classes, I had to keep repeating my story every classroom I walked into.

I got helplessly lost at lunch and ended up bumping into Josh. I hate school! I want to go home now.

Josh was standing under a tall tree grinning at me. "Jerk!" I called up to him, not daring to come any closer. He chuckled and started walking towards me.

"You're the one who came and found me." he stopped a few feet away. I took a step back instinctively.

"I got lost!" I growled at him. He shrugged again.

"Poor little Layla, got lost and stumbled upon me." he said walking closer. I turned and ran. His smile unnerved me, made me shiver and my skin prickle. His laugh followed me until I went back inside and blocked it off the the slamming door.

I collapsed beside the door and panted, I wasn't tired I was scared. "I'm just going to go home." I decided. I struggled to my feet and didn't hear the door open.

Josh appeared in front of me and pushed me hard against the wall. My head thudded painfully against the brick and made the world spin.

He smiled at me defenselessness. His face stooped to my height. "There are two types of girls in this school," he said grabbing the side of my neck. "Either I break their hearts or I break them." he hissed.

Suddenly I felt his lips on my mouth. I beat his shoulders and tried to push him away. His teeth hit mine and his tongue slipped into my mouth.

That's when I had enough. I bit down and I bit hard. Warm copper blood spilt into my mouth. He jumped away from me holding his mouth, a trickle of red ran down his chin. I spat out the foul taste and glared at him, I wanted to hurt him, I wanted to bite off his head and leave his mangled body in a dark place.

I ran again I was so close to shifting, but I couldn't shift now not in front of a human! I resorted to running my feet slipping on the floor. I burst through a set of gleaming white doors and a hundred pair of eyes turned to me.

I was holding my mouth, tears pricked in the corners of my eyes. I caught sight of Tess, she was moving swiftly through tables of people.

She grabbed my hand and ran out the doors and into a bathroom. "Pookie what happened?" she asked tugging on my arm. I shook my head rapidly. "Layla?" she warned. I let her pull my hand away and see the blood on my lips and teeth. "Layla what happened?" she cried.

"I ran into Josh and he..." what exactly is it he did again? "Umm... Kissed me." I whispered. Tess started shaking. "And then I bit his tongue." her head dropped on my shoulder.

Now came the hard part.

I had bit a human, so what happens now? I knew the consequences if he turned, but I paso knew that the chances were slim. Not many people held the power to change humans anymore. So the questions was will he die? Or live and shift into a wolf? Or does he remain human, immune to a wolf bite? "Tess I'm sorry!" I sobbed out. She shook her head.

"I can still fix this." she said. Quickly she pulled out her phone and rapidly dialed. "Yeah... Its Tess... Layla bit Josh... Yeah she's here with me... Yeah... On his tongue... Okay thanks." she hung up and a huge relieved smile spread across her face. I actually felt better because of that smile. "We have to go find Josh." she said.

My mood dissipated. "Wash your mouth out and follow me." she said. I did as I was told and the last of his blood sank into the drain. "Be proud, that idiot deserved it." she said I nodded and we headed out.

We wondered the halls until we heard his moans from the nurses office. We both chuckled and peeked in. The school nurse had pulled his tongue out and was examining it.

"What have you gotten yourself into this time Mr. Orion?" she asked dabbing something on his tongue. He flinched and whimpered. "I knew messing around with all those girls was going to come back and bite you. Though," she pauses and tapped her chin. "I didn't think it would literally bite you." she chuckled and let him retract his tongue. She bustled out of the room humming to herself.

We entered and stood in front of Josh. "Come to apologize?" he asked smugly.

"No." I hissed.

"Came to make sure you didn't die." Tess added with just as much hatred. "A big cut like that could have hurt a little boy like you!" she said in q baby voice. I tried to contain my laugh but the look on his face was too priceless.

"Shut it Timber!" he hissed glaring at Tess.

"The way I see it," I interjected before Tess shifted. "There are two kind of people in this school, the kind that want to bite your head off and leave you for the coyotes to find, and there are the ones that play you along." Tess laughed at the scowl on his face.

That helped relieve some of my anger. "Leave the poor boy alone girls!" the nurse huffed at us. We giggled and left.

Josh deserved everything that was coming to him.
