Chapter Twenty-One

Quietly, you yawn as you look at L, who was typing mindlessly into his laptop. It was interesting to watch him, he would just seemingly fade away whenever he was working. His mind would evaporate anything but the case, so in this case, anything but Kira. Remember when Kiba left? Yeah, that was just over a week ago now, the day the exams ended. You'd been spending more time with Lawliet and on the Kira case now, obviously.

A small smile grows on your lips, as you then flop onto your back and continue reading your manga. It was Kuroko No Basket, and you were in live with Kagami... And, dare you say it, you actually ship Kuroko and Kagami.

What? They're awesome together! If you had an ocean full of your ships... You'd need a new ocean.

Slightly, you chuckle to yourself as you get lost in your mind of ships- Loki and Lucy from Fairy Tail; Grey and Natsu from Fairt Tail; Eren and Levi from Attack On Titan; Kirito and Asuna from Sword Art Online-

"What're you thinking about?" A voice asks.

Confused, you look up to see L eating a slice of cake in his cute little position, watching you with a small smile on his lips. You sit up and ask, "Do you have any ships?"

He blinked, before he said, "Well we have a yatch, but I'm not sure-"

That caused you to burst into laughter. Was he serious? He doesn't know what a ship is?! Ohh jeez, you had some work to do on this boy...

"No, no, no," Shaking your head, you couldn't help but grin. "A ship is... How can I put this? It's basically where you want characters or people to get together because they would be good or cute together, like... Dan and Phil, or Ciel and Sebastian, or you and cake."

"Me and cake you say?" L playfully raises an eyebrow. "I see... In that case, I 'ship' myself with you." With a small smirk, he plops a piece of cake in his mouth.

"That would be canon, dear, because we ARE together," You softly laugh and roll your eyes.

The boy nods, "Well then, I shoot our cannon."

...This boy. Gosh, this is why I love him.

"I shoot us too," In amusement, you laugh and grin at him. "Though for a while," deciding to mess with him, you begin. "I did ship you and Light for a while... You had the whole kinky thing with the handcuffs, your close little bonding session in the rain and so forth... Yeah, yeah I shipped you and Light."

"Ohh, you do?" Light walked in, and over to Lawliet. He wraps his arms around his waist, resting his head on his chin as he gently kissed his cheek, "So you told her about us, hm?"

"L-Light-kun... N-not yet," The ravenette blushes deeply and turns in his arms. He softly buried his head in his chest, and Light blinks.

"Ohh... Well. This is awkward," Light mumbles and keeps hold of Lawliet tightly.

Rip. Crack. Shatter. Kaboom! Yeah, see that crane across the street? Come over here and BREAK MY FRICKIN' HEART WHY DON'T YOU?! Room service, heart shattered around the room! Clean-up on isle five!

"What?" Was a you could spit out.

"Yeah..." Awkwardly, Light mumbles. "Uhh... Well, when we were handcuffed, we became close and, um... We're gay, [Y/N]. Straight up gay... And we're in love."

Yeah... Screw a crane, just straight up TNT please!

"Ohh. But me and L have done... Things since then," Awkward, and trying to hide the heartbreak, you mutter.

Light looks at L, "You have?"

"W-well I felt bad!" Lawliet yelps. "She didn't know!"

The caramel haired boy sighs before he looks at you, "We're engaged, so I'd appreciate it if you backed off."

Is this... For real?

L sighs, "Let me make this easier... SECURITY!"

Sochiro and Matsuda walk in, as the chief asks, "Yes, L-sama?"

"Get rid of miss [Y/N], will you?" Simply, the raven haired boy says before he plopped a piece of cake in Light's mouth. Light hums in appriciation, before he kisses the boy deeply.

Matsuda and Sochiro begin to drag you out.

"L-LAWLIET?!"

Deeply breathing, you shoot up and look around. L was sat crouched next to you as he seemed to e trying to wake you up, "[Y/N]? [Y/N], you were just dreaming..."

After a moment to collect yourself, you look at him as tears spring to your eyes. Tightly, you wrap your arms around his neck, holding him close, "I'm sorry..."

The ravenette wraps his arms around you softly, "Why are you apologising..? What were you dreaming about?"

"Something dumb, oh gosh so dumb... I love you, you know that?"

"I love you too," He seemingly grew confused as he kisses your head and strokes your hair. After a moment, he asks, "Are you alright?"

"I'm okay," Laughing slightly, you pull back and smile. "Go back to work, I'm okay."

"If you're sure," Again he gently kisses your head, then your lips, before he walks back to his laptop and begins typing.

A small sigh of relief falls from you as you look around. There was a half-eaten slice of cake on the floor next to your laptop... Which had yaoi fanficion on it.

I am never eating cake and reading fanficion before sleep AGAIN!

L suddenly spoke up, "Hey, babe?"

"Yeah?" Looking over at him, you pick up your laptop and ask.

"What's a ship?" He asked randomly, looking at you.

Your eyes widen slightly before you calmly ask, "What makes you ask that?" To hydrate your dry throat, you pick up your coke and take a drink.

"Because you talk when you nap," Merely, he smirks and starts typing away.

That caused you to spit out your drink all over the floor as you stared at him.

Of course. He knew.

Damn that boy I love... Damn The Raven.
