Going On A Run

~~~~"Are you too sure you can do this on your own?" Rick said cautiously.
"Dad we got this. You stay here and get better. Y/N and I can do this." Carl replied with a smile.

"Yeah we got this." You said.
"Okay be safe." Rick informed you too before you guys walked out the door. The crisp air hitting you.

"Okay lets do this." Carl smirked walking down the street with you.

"What house first?" You asked glancing at the two homes to the side of you guys.

Carl points to the one on the left and you head over there with him.

You knock on the door and you hear about 3 walkers. Carl signals to you and you nod opening the door. Immediately stabbing 2 walkers and Carl gets the last one. Walking inside it's filled with dust and smelled musty.

Carl goes into the kitchen and you head upstairs. Looking at the 3 doors you head into one of the rooms. A walker lunges towards you and you stumble backwards falling down onto the ground.
You pull out your knife and stab it in the skull and pushing it off of you. You see Carl woried helping you up.

"Are you okay?" Carl asks with worried eyes.
"Yeah. All good." You smile.

Carl looks at you and you get kinda confused. "What?" You ask laughing.

"I never noticed how beautiful you are. And how you could have died right there and I wouldn't have gotton to tell you."

You're eyes widened. You have never thought of Carl as more than a friend.
"Tell me what?" You gulped.

"That I love you. I always have. Thats why whenever you go on a run i'm right by your side. So that I can save you."

You didn't know how to feel. Do you like Carl? He's always just been your best buddy. But he has feelings for you...this is a situation.....
"That's sweet Carl." You said looking down at the ground. Before you had the chance to say anything Carl kisses you and puts his hands on your waist.

It takes you a few minutes but you kiss back. You start to get butterflies and you put your arms around Carl's head. Placing your arms on his shoulders.

He pulls away for breath after a while.

"You don't know how long I've wanted to do that." Carl laughs.

"Sooo....Y/N. You maybe wanna be my girlfriend? I mean I can't really take you out to dinner, but believe me if I could I would.
You laughed "Yeah, I mean having a boyfriend doesn't sound to bad." You reply nudging his shoulder.
"And now I can have all the kisses I want from you and don't have to daydream about kissing you." Carl laughed kissing you one last time.

"Okay let's finish geting the stuff from this house." You say opening the next door.
