I’m in love with someone who’s stupid enough to not even notice it, and she goes by the name of Cassandra… ang babaeng kinababaliwan yung best friend kong torpe na gusto rin sya, and for that, I am truly grateful… kase kung hindi nuno ng torpe si Mak, malamang, matagal na kong nawalan ng karapatan sa nararamdaman ko para sa kanya.

Ilang taon nang makararaan, tulad ng boring na school trip, napag isipan naming tumakas… if it weren’t for Juliet di kami makakapasok sa school nila Cassandra. It was a Friday morning. May batang babaeng tumutugtog ng piano sa loob ng isang music room. She had her hair tied up in a pony tail, kaya kitang kita mo yung pagkachubby ng mga pisngi nya.

She was playing an unfamiliar music, but we stayed there and watched her till she finished. May kinuha syang maliit na notebook at may kung anong isinulat doon. She smiled showing off her braces. Akala ko yun na yung huling beses na makikita ko sya, pero nagkita uli kami sa tindahan malapit sa bahay naming. Bumibili sya ng toyo. This time she was taller, wala na rin yung braces nya pero nakasalamin naman sya at may bangs syang pakurtina yung hati.

I wanted to ask what her name was… pero nung mga panahong yun, biglang dumating si Angela… we had to finish some projects. And so I thought that that would be the last time that I’d see her… pero mali nanaman ako. I saw her in Makintosh’s phone… it happens that she was studying sa school kung saan nag transfer si Mak at Ace. Oo, aaminin ko nagseselos ako nung mga panahong yun.

I wanted to seat with her at the bus too, gusto ko ring unanan nya yung balikat ko habang natutulog sya, gusto ko rin syang makausap hangang sa bumaba sya sa bus. I wanted to be with her, and my young heart said that I should go for it… and in the following year… I was transferred to Vans Academy kung saan sya nag aaral…

But then it was too late… she likes Mak now, and she’s close with Ace… It was the end of the line for me… I mean… naungasan na ko nung dalawa, ano pa bang magagawa ko dun? And for the record she hates me dahil lagi nalang ako nangugulo tuwing dumadamoves sa kanya si Mak at Ace. Well you can’t blame me. I like the girl, and I’d do anything para mailayo lang sya sa dalawang yun.

I tried to befriend her, pero pinalala lang nito ang lahat… Mak even got closer to her… Ace courted her and within minutes napasagot na nya agad ito without her realizing kung ano yung nangyari… her stupidity over things makes me want her more…

And to make matters worse, Ace’s twin sister, Angela entered the picture… she hated Cassa… she hates her cause I like her. I liked Angela too… as a friend, pero lagi nyang iniinsist that there was something else between us. I grew tired of her complaints kung kaya’t pumayag nalang ako sa gusto nyang mangyari. There was never a courting stage sa nagging relasyon naming dalawa that lasted for only about 3 months… and that was before I entered Vans academy. That was before I declared that I like Cassandra…

A year after na magkahiwalay kami ni Angela, pinupuntahan pa rin nya ko sa Vans, using her twin as an excuse. But to hell with her excuses… Until recently, she officially transferred to Vans.

“Brent sino yun? Yung babae kanina?” I remembered Cassandra asking me those.

 

“Wala”

 

“sino nga yun? Girlfriend mo?”

 

“God no! I’m in love with someone else” frustrated kong sabi sa kanya, I love her but sometimes, I just cant take her nagging.

 

“sino? Kanino ka inlove, uy brent, uy brent”

 

“Kay Cassandra.” Tipid kong sagot. Nagulat akong biglang nanlaki yung mga mata nya at napatakip pa ng bibig nya. Sht. Napaamin tuloy ako ng di-oras.

 

“what? Her name is bea?” nakita kong tinangal nya yung earphones nya… naka earphones pala sya. Tss buti nalang

 

“Yup. I’m In love with Bea, Cassandra.” She’s not just stupid. But she has hearing issues too… still that doesnt change the fact that I love her.

Kakagaling lang ni Angela sa bahay to drop her homemade cookies… nakakasawa na, I watched her as she was walking out our gate… but then I caught a stupid girl staring at my direction. Napatingin ako kay angela na nakangiti pa rin sakin. I called her pero hindi na sya lumapit, instead sumakay sya sa isang bus. God damnit!

Hindi nya naiintindihan! Tanga pa naman din nun, baka kung anong inisip nya! Sht! This is one of the cons of falling in love with someone as stupid as her. You need to spell out everything para lang maintindihan nya.

Falling for the stupid kind is somehow the hardest… they tend to get overly jealous than the average girls. Wait… does this mean that she’s—Jealous? Kung ganun… is it possible that…

ARGH! BASTA, what’s important right now is to find her. Tanga pa naman yun, baka kung ano pang mangyari sa kanya. Tss… Ang bobo mo kase brentosso!
