My name is M.B, and I'm a wattpad writer. I've always dreamed of writing a book since I was young. Always had tons of ideas, but always discouraged by my parents and readers cousins/friends, always repeating the same sentence "You can't write a book unless you read books." Until a few months ago, I never read books. Never found an interesting book I could keep up with. Always thought my dream of writing books wasn't possible. Until I actually discovered that the problem wasn't from the books themselves, but the genre of books. All my booktok friends would only read "dark romance" books, and I hated this genre. Like, bro, ain't dark romance anymore, that's toxic love and mental illness.. Example: Captive. Ella fell in love with her KIDNAPPER?? Anyway. A few months ago, I discovered the book "We have always lived in the castle" by Shirley Jackson. Let me give a quick summary: It tells the story of two eccentric sisters who live secluded in their family's grand mansion, haunted by a dark secret that threatens their delicate existence. It is a horror/mystery book, it's lovely, go read it! Well, I read that book in one night. Never did that in my whole life.. Well, now, I'm here to write my own book, or books, who knows?..
