(A story about Uncle "mer mer" starts at 6:20.)
Every time they were asked about a different kind of music, like let's say, Paramore...they would only speak about the singles. Actually, they still do. Singles that are popular and on the radio, the ones everyone has heard.
They're definitely oblivious to the kind of music they're trying to do. They want to gain as much mainstream attention as possible. That's the best way to get famous!

In this interview, the interviewer asked them "What about your go-to song?"
Rena said Led Zeppelin & The Doors. Casey said Arctic Monkeys (Nia agreed).
Miranda said, Katy Perry. After Miranda, Nia tried selling the image that she is more diverse in music than what she previously lead on, which lead her to name Kesha and Miley Cyrus. The,n she tried singing a Miley Cyrus song... she kind of butchered it and looked at Rena for help to which Rena looked at her with pure confusion and said "I don't know, that just made me think of another song; I don't know how that Mi-Miley Cyrus one goes..."
In this same interview, they asks, "If we could peak into your iPod, what artist/song would we be most surprised to find?"
Nia said, "I don't have anything too surprising... like, maybe Ariana Grande? Like one song..." Ariana Grande is a mainstream artist, it seemed unreal when she called her "Ariana Grand."
Their biggest appeal is trying to be relatable which is not what music or musicians are about, and they gain their fame from other musicians like 5SOS or Paramore.
All while they framed Julia, there are many reasons why the Lovelis family is more of a bad guy than they claimed Julia to be.
Rena was hanging out alone (multiple times)with Ian Watkins from Lostprophets (found-guilty of molesting a baby) while she was at the age of fourteen on tour. Ana even promoted smoking weed. Rena even defended Ian Watkins while he was prosecuted.
These claims don't make sense, egotistical means they will fight for and defend what they think is theirs... meaning the band she started, Cherri Bomb. Doesn't that technically make the Lovelis family egotistical?
Her walking away from it makes zero sense to the Lovelis's claim. If she really were selfish and didn't like the direction they were heading, she would have kicked them out and started new in whatever direction she wanted.
This is exactly why Hollywood Records dropped them and sued the Lovelis clan. They kicked her out which violated the contracted that stated Julia was the face of the band.
Let's go over a few reasons why it would've made more sense for Julia to kick out the girls instead.

Julia has the most talent despite being the lead singer. She was not only recognized for her guitar skills at such a young age, but also played multiple instruments.
