you know when you find a certain person who’s platonic connection to you is so strong that you literally cannot think of anything in your future happening without that person at least a call or text away. you have so much love and care for this person but not in any romantic sort of way. they’re your chosen family and you feel safe with them. you don’t have to worry about anything when you’re with them. you don’t have to always have something to talk about so you just chill in comfortable silence. you know that they feel just as connected to you as you feel to them. i’m glad i found a couple of those people :))

WHAT IF, and hear me out, I BECOME an ultrasound technician? i’ll only need 2-4 years of formal education and then BADA BING BADA BOOM BABY. even the 25th percentile in cali makes almost $7,000 USD a month

@EuphoriaIsPeace plus, my mom is a retired prison guard so one of the scholarships i’ve signed up for will give me a couple thousand dollars for books or housing. there are a few other scholarships for kids who were adopted after the age of 13 so i’m eligible for those too

@EuphoriaIsPeace the town i live in is super close to the oregon border so if i really needed to i could rent an apartment there but keep some form of residence in california. and if i stay here for 5 years after getting my degree, i’ll have a bunch of retirement benefits and i’d get a weekly salary of at least $1,500 which is enough to rent a 2 bed 1 bath house with a roommate (my brother and i would rent together so we could both go to school and split bills). 
            
            my aunt said she’d give me a place to stay in oregon if i need so i’m covered there too.
            
            i’m not worried about the classes i have to take because i know if i really don’t get it, i have a few friends and family who have studied in medicine and health so i’ll just ask one of them

tomorrow's finals are art and english and i'm not very excited for english. it's supposed to take up the entire period and is worth 275 points. if i fail the final, it'll drop my grade so, unbelievably, far. i'm glad it's the first semester so i'm not walking into end of the year finals blindly, not knowing what to expect lol

          i can’t stand people who think they can just get a job and not go bc it just causes issues for the rest of us. i was really looking forward to having last night and tonight off but i’ve worked for 8 days straight now because the new dishwasher guy pulled a no call no show two nights in a row.
          i made a new work friend tho :) she’s super sweet! at one point last night she came around to the dish pit to get some containers and almost knocked over a stack of pans above us. luckily we caught them before they fell but my god it was funny as hell to look at
