I have always found it difficult to talk about myself so, for the purpose of this; I will focus on what lead me to write. I have always struggled with the written word, school being a particularly difficult time. It wasn't until later in life, long after being labeled stupid by teachers and peers that I found out I had dyslexia, along with a host of other issues. I dealt with the news by throwing myself into reading; I wasn't going to be told I couldn't due to a diagnosis. That's when I discovered the world of fiction. I was particularly drawn to the darker stories. The power to evoke fear from just words alone inspired me. I aim for my own writing to have the same power; I hope to make a life out of telling stories.
