I'm a mom, wife, and writer of fictional things, most of them short stories.

On January 2, 2012 I decided to take my hobby to the next level and stepped into the world of full-time freelance writing.

In the spring of 2015 I co-founded an awesome writing group which has become the core of my tribe. The members encourage me to write outside my comfort zone while holding me accountable for every last word that I put down on paper (or a computer screen, whichever).

That autumn I was asked to take over of volunteer librarian for my community center's public library.

A year later I founded a teen writing group to help young writers learn more about writing for an audience, participate in NaNoWriMo, and create polished pieces for submission to digital and print media.

I'm an avid reader, giving as much dedication to a new author's work as I will a New York Times bestselling novel.

When I'm not writing I spend time with my family which includes my husband (a retired career firefighters) and our two adult sons.

I love all animals and after Gingerbelle, my inaugural Golden Retriever passed away in the summer of 2013, I adopted four dogs and five reptiles. But I swear, I'm pretty sure this is it and we're done. I think. Probably.

As freelance opportunities slacked off, I switched gears and accepted the role of Social Media Manager for The Write Services, sponsor of the free Sprints and Spirits writing group on Facebook. The group offers valuable content for writers daily and live discussions on Google Hangouts weekly.
