Hi there!

My name is Cody, I'm eighteen years old and I'm from New York. I've been writing since I was in third grade, but I didn't become serious about my writing until I was thirteen. I began writing just for fun. It seemed like a great idea to me that I could develop somewhat of my own televised program (well, television with a spine and paper). With writing, I was allowed to create my own universe and control every single thing in it. I could stretch the truth and make life the way I wanted it to be. That, to me, is the beauty of writing.

I guess I could say that I was first inspired to write by Roseanne Barr (actress/comedian; "Roseanne"). Since I was younger, I'd always watched her sitcom. It was one day when I was watching the very last episode of the show (where she reveals that the entire series was based on her life that she had creatively altered) that I knew I wanted to try writing. I mean, if she [the character of Roseanne] was able to escape the reality of her life and go into this alternate universe where she was rich and famous...why couldn't I? So I sat down with a pen and a journal and began writing. Though I still don't write quite as Roseanne had described, I credit her for inspiring me pick up the pen and go to the paper. I started by writing about myself fictitiously (not quite in the creative non-fiction genre), and have since started developing my own characters and my own world to play around with with characters like Blayne Spear or Dylan Price. One day I hope to thank her in person.

Since I was thirteen, I've written a total of five novels. When I was in 6th grade, I hand-wrote my first novel. When the novel was complete, I passed it around to my friends to read. The story has since been misplaced, and I cannot recall what it was about. After seventh grade, I wrote AH, BUT UNDERNEATH and its sequel UNDERNEATH II during my eighth and ninth grade years. The series was supposed to be a trilogy but due to an incredible flaw in the novel's p
