Hey everyone! My name is James, and I live in the Seattle metro area with my wife, daughter, and son.

And I moonlight as a romance writer. Just like most other 40-something suburban dads in the software industry. Right?

OK, maybe not. So I'm a bit unusual. I'll wear that as a badge of honor!

I've only been writing fiction for fun since Summer 2017, but I've found it immensely rewarding! I'm naturally a creative type - I play piano, I used to write music, and I love to cook from scratch, so why not try my hand at writing? So far I've finished and posted one novella-length story. My work-in-progress is projecting to be novel-length, and I have a bunch of other story ideas rolling around inside my addled brain.

Right now, I mainly write M/F contemporary adult romances from a male POV - it seems like an underserved niche. I also love writing diverse casts of characters and 'unexpected' couples.

I've been obsessed with classical music since I was a wee lad (why yes, that *is* the last page of Mahler's Second Symphony in my background photo), so it figures prominently in my stories. Many of my characters are professional orchestra musicians. And though I'm New England-born, the Pacific Northwest is home, and it's the setting for most of my stories.
