            ￫⠀a year ago, his parents were murdered by an escaped villain he had taken down weeks prior. in uncontrollable rage, asahi killed the villain without even thinking. the news story never went public.
            
            ￫⠀asahi tried to continue heroism and act as though nothing was wrong, and he managed a few weeks but ultimately submitted to his guilt. spiraling into depression, he isolated himself completely. not even telling his (ex) wife, sayori, what had really happened that day.
            
            ￫⠀after the day 'it' happened, sayori acted differently towards him. it was subtle. suddenly, she became distant; confused; upset. unlike her usual kind nature, she offered no shoulder to lean on. asahi couldn't think of anything he did wrong.. but the way she looked at him... there was no sympathy. 
            
            ￫⠀after sayori disappeared, asahi had spent months wallowing. everything around him fell apart. his agency closed down, friends stopped contacting him, his apartment became a mess. even his career as a hero slowly lost relevancy as people began moving on. and then, in a seemingly unconquerable haze, he saw stain on TV.. their methods couldn't be more different, but their ideologies seemed to unite. to create a more just society... something must be purged.
            
            ￫⠀a little after he began treading his newfound career path, asahi received a mysterious letter from the hero commission. the letter contained information regarding an elusive villain. it didn't take much to piece two to two together.

            ￫⠀he misses his (ex) wife :( 
            
            ￫⠀loves meal planning. he'll spend hours every day preparing his meals for the week. he might not be the best cook, but damn does he know what foods go good together. if he doesn't, he probably just won't eat at all. it's a bad habit.
            
            ￫⠀asahi has an incredibly strong sense of responsibility. he knows very well that becoming a vigilante was wrong. but the crippling guilt of allowing criminals to continue to walk the streets and harm innocent lives weighs much heavier than a little blood on his hands. 
            
            ￫⠀he's such a hypocrite, and he knows it. 
            
            ￫⠀heroism holds a special place in his heart. he wanted to be the kind of hero people could look up to. one with a pure heart, who represents all the good in the world.. but that dream is far out of his reach. so instead, he'll settle for doing the dirty work so that the real heroes can shine even brighter. this is the most he can do.
