          it was cold and rainy , which meant aspen could stay inside , bake and drink tea . his moments of pure calmness was rudely interrupted when a large crash came from outside the cottage door . startled, he flinched , slowly rising from his chair and putting his cup down , he cautiously walked towards the door . when he did he swung open the door to reveal - a man ?
          " hello ? "

aspen let out a small gasp , hazel eyes glued to the boy's ankle . slowly he crouched near the ankle , trying to see the damage without touching it .
            " well , because i could make you some .. tea and a meal . if youre comfortable standing , that is . " 
            he started , moving some of the now wet hair from his own face , groaning in slight annoyance as he did so .

quite shocked and semi afraid , aspen raised his hands in a peace manner , a small , but nervous chuckle emerging from his throat . Flashing the warmest smile he could muster in a situation like this , he stepped back .
            “ im aspen , and / you / are in front of my home . are you cold ? ”
            he spoke , leaning to check the man laying down .
