URGENT announcement — ringing my town bella to say a new, very smutty Peaky Blinders fic is coming soon.
          
          It’s Down bad, Even Worse than planned, Intentional, Nothing Taken Easily, and very Restraint-heavy.
          
          Already working on another fic but the more the merrier, right? I listened to a lot of One Direction while writing this, which probably explains a few things. Apparently I also still have a soft spot for premises that don’t let people leave.
          
          Posting in 3–4 weeks (because why choose a date?)
          Been very thorough with the groundwork on this one.

Writing advice: I’ve been terrified to write steamy scenes for a longgg time now. I physically can’t do it after receiving hate and bad reactions on my earlier fics. Talking to someone about this, we discussed the concept of anticipatory surveillance and writing with your mind outside the room, when it needs to be firmly inside when creating any sort of art. “The scene is not for the reader. It is for the characters. The reader is eavesdropping.” “The characters are not performing or trying to be sexy or iconic. They’re just alone.” “Cringe is proximity to truth. It’s just intimacy without armour, and the best scenes have no armour left.” This really spoke to me and thought I’d share here in case someone else needed to hear it too x

I just have to thank you for not referring to characters as Y/N it I cannot stand Y/N in stories it doesn’t feel as personal as being called by a last name so thank you just thank you

          Thank you to everyone who’s read, voted, commented, or messaged me over the years. This account has been such a special part of my writing journey.
          
          When I started here in my early 20s, I was disheartened by the publishing world and just wanted writing to feel fun again. I never expected these fics to gain so many readers, and while it might sound silly to some, I’m genuinely proud of what we built here.
          
          But as the audience grew, so did the challenges, mainly including hurtful comments and pressures I didn't expect. I’m just a person behind the screen, a mum, a wife, a Saturday sports cheerer and fundraiser baker, and someone trying to create stories in my spare time because I love to write. The mockery I received daily on here wore me down and the joy faded and it affected me in all areas of life.
          
          I also came to realise many readers here are a lot younger than I expected, and that’s made me increasingly uncomfortable with writing smut and explicit content. It’s not about judgment, just personal conviction. I want to write stories I can be proud of, ones I won't feel the need to hide or downplay from people in my life.
          
          And of course, the ‘T’ words — Tommy Shelby. While I’ll always be grateful for Kimber’s Daughter and everything that followed, I’ve felt boxed in for a long time. I’ve tried to deliver what people asked for, but the truth is, I’m not a Peaky Blinders superfan. That version of Tommy became his own character and one I’ve since grown away from.
          
          I’m in a new season now. Still writing and still inspired, just in a different voice. My new account is @tova_grace where I’ll be sharing slowburn romance and deep fics, just without the smut.
          
          If I’ve left a story you loved unfinished, I’m truly sorry.
