COULD I STEAL A MOMENT OF YOUR TIME?

@scarredtouch they aren't intended to be sweet. they are simply the truth. if i were attempting to butter you up i assure you, it would be painfully obvious. ⁽ it wasn't often charles bent the truth. it had always felt wrong even if it was a situation where it was more than necessary he despised it wholeheartedly. it was how he was raised. not by his mother, certainly not by his father.. in which he didn't remember all that well. but by the nanny who cared for him. she taught him right from wrong, please and thank you and all the proper manners that followed. she was like the mother he never had. she filled in when his mother was out for days, or even weeks at a time. any mention of his childhood was bittersweet. after his mutation went haywire things changed. his mother becoming more neglectful, ordering the nanny to take him for a psychological examination when he complained of voices and sensitivity to light. ⁾ just like this place. it's hosted xavier's since it was built. yes, i grew up here. this room.. was actually my mother's. it's comforting that way i suppose.

[ her teeth chewed at the inside of her bottom lip, as if debating the words he spoke. she hadn’t picked up a paint brush in a long time, but yet the idea of doing it was nice, comforting even. ] your words are far too sweet for me, charles. [ despite that, she could tell he was being genuine about it. something about this man’s words was nice, the way it made her feel. when she really thought about it, she realized that she’d only ever felt this way about one person and that was alexander. was it happening again? was she—- had she already fallen? she moved to set down the canvas on the nearest surface other than his desk, exhaling slowly. the revelation was a bit overwhelming, she was not going to lie to herself. ] no one’s lived in that house other than my family and i, i technically own it, have since i was.. nineteen. wasn’t this school.. your childhood house? i’ve heard stories, mostly from raven.

@scarredtouch i can tell you put effort into all of this piece. i am honored you decided to share it with me. you should continue to paint. what your feeling, the world around you or like you did here. memories. you may not have a picture but this canvas speaks a thousands words. perhaps a thousand more than a click of a lens ever could. the house, the animals and every stand of grass in that field is honored. ⁽ when she spoke of one of the animals specifically he smiled. ⁾ ah, so you've always had a kind soul. that house is history. generations of it. much like the school we are in now. ⁽ his lips pursed slightly his eyes scanning the painting once more. ⁾ i see the detail, everything that makes up the big picture.
