╱ the most chilling line in the entire series is " i live in hell because i've been expelled from heaven " in season six ' once more with feeling ' when buffy talks about how her second resurrection pulled her from a good afterlife . the way the word " heaven " is sung in a different key is brilliant — there's so much emotion behind her words , it weighs heavier . is it a representation of the crack in the metaphorical mask she's been wearing and makes the realisation of her friends actions more palpable .

also , when spike stops her from dancing herself into a pile of ashes says " life's not a song ; life isn't bliss , life is this , it's living . you have to keep on living . " i mean , that hits hard .
