i know right – it sounds so therapeutic to me

the walls are thin, and the shutters are down, and when they’re down, the sun comes through. there’s a draught and flowers on the ledge, and their shadows on the shutters, are waving. like ducks dipping their beaks into water. like the illimitable raising its head, uselessly and wildly, for one moment before it plunges back down, storm-tossed, into the dark. like skulls on outstretched necks. lurching wildly whenever the draught blows, to the edge of the shutters, which is their nothingness. distorting themselves as they dive. the chemical bleach smell, the moths, the loneliness, this room, this is all i want from life.
