i went to the bookstore today to get The Dare by Harley Laroux and i was kinda anxious bc i was scared ppl would see me walking around with that book knowing what it’s about
so with that dread feeling i went to pay, and the cashier (a boy probably 18 or 19 idk) took a sec to look at it and literally SMIRKED AT ME and asked if i would know what it’s about.
ofc i knew but i went like “no actually not a friend of mine recommended it and said i should read it” he was like “oh, your friend has a really special taste then. have fun reading” i pulled a usain bolt running outta that bookstore and i nearly cried while walking home
