Cozy Cat Press is looking to curl up with some cozy poetry! Have you always been one step ahead of the TV detectives? Do you have a perfect crime? Maybe you’ve already cracked a case wide open! We’re looking for work as clever as the most conniving criminals and sly sleuths to be published in our first ever poetry anthology. Awaken your inner private eye and submit a mystery themed poem for the chance to win cash prizes, illustrations inspired by your work, and publication!
The contest runs from March 1st – July 1st and is free for anyone to enter. Rules, restrictions, and guidelines are detailed below.

Prize:
• 1st place: $100, publication, and a guaranteed illustration
• 2nd place: $50, publication, and a guaranteed illustration
• 3rd place: $25, publication, and a guaranteed illustration
ALL Winners will receive:
• Publication in Cozy Cat Press Poetry anthology
• A free ebook download of the anthology
PLEASE NOTE: Not all selected pieces will receive illustrations, unless previously stated
Rules:
• Submissions must be sent to: cozycatpresspoetry@gmail.com
• Must follow the theme of “mystery”
• No graphic sex or violence
• Submissions must be in a readable serif 10-12 pt font
• Poems may not exceed two pages in length
• Poems may not have been previously published
• Submissions must be in a word document
• Applicants may submit up to three poems—these must all be in the same word document
• Applicants must include their name and email for contact
• Subject line must read: “Cozy Cat 2019 Poetry Contest Submission”
• Cozy Cat Press retains first serial rights which will be returned to the author upon publication
Entries not following these rules will be automatically disqualified without notice
