Look, I know I asked you for help but I’m perfectly capable of leading this mission y’know? * Alyssa wasn’t surprised by the blonde’s natural leadership. She was definitely good at it, but now it was her chance to prove herself. * I’m not young anymore, sestra ( sister ). And we’re not in the red room anymore so you’re definitely not in charge of me.

… /i’m/ the problem right? i did not say you’re a little child, did i? my responsibility, yes, but not a child. it is not the same thing. heh, respect is /earned/. [ it was a dry chuckle. though she exaggerated ‘earn’ simply to get her point across. she knew how it was for gaining respect among peers. ] why did you ask for my aid then, if you knew that the reason you’ve not yet gained their respect due to my role. [ intensity in her green orbs once more staring down the other. & curtly nodding her head, she stepped to the side no longer standing in front. ] then i am to be an obedient soldier, no?

See, that’s where you’re wrong. I’m not a little child anymore. You can’t just / boss / me around to do everything you want me to do. * Alyssa stood behind the blonde, arms crossed over her chest as she merely glared at Yelena. * They don’t respect me because / you / always treat me like a damn child. Maybe if you backed off from your big sister role every so often, I’d get the respect I / deserve /.

no. you need to stay still — you are losing too much blood. [ ignoring the others requests & urgently ripping off some fabric, pressing it into the wound letting it soak up the blood. yelena gave a shake of her head, disapproving. ] if you go anywhere right now in you’re current condition, you’re dead. is that what you want?

more calculated than someone who took great care in disarming a bomb . that is how the widow would be described if someone was asked to do so . ilissabella was more than capable of many things that would normally impede the others from the academy . she was always trying to perfect herself , and that is exactly what she did . she was perfect . had the perfect aim . the perfect stance . went through the motions effortlessly . but she was cold and closed off . that is was she deemed and imperfection . after finally being freed , she was lost . she had nothing . so she turned to the only person she knew and hoped to God that she would be willing to help . " yelena ... it is ilya . "

of course, while they had been trained in russia, they still felt the cold - perhaps not as intensely as americans, but enough to still get the chills. once her sister was in, she pushed the door waiting until she heard the clicking sound of it being shut. normally, she would’ve complained at the other drinking straight from the bottle but hey, it was already half empty and it seemed that it was very much need. good thing yelena had already had some beforehand. approaching an allied widow who was like a sister to the white widow, only stopping a few feet away, having a general idea where the conversation was going. “we don’t need to define ourselves as heroes, ilya.” though … Yelena could understand where she was coming from, she had went through something similar when freed from dreykov’s control. as black widows one of the aspects of the widows is that they were trained to kill; murders. yet, it didn’t change a thing. the overwhelming guilt was still there. “we’ve all killed… you know, the widow that freed me,” if there was one thing yelena knew about the whole brainwashed thing and being released from it, was the moment right after the late widow had freed her. & now hesitating and taking a deep breath, it was something she hadn’t forgiven herself over, “i killed the widow who freed me. i was — /am/ still filled with guilt, her blood is on my hands, she helped me and i took her life.” taking a seat next to ilya, then reaching over to gently grab the others hands in her own, for comfort more or less. “it is not easy but you’re not alone. continue living, take time for yourself, Sestra [sister] and find something that you’re passionate about.” from personal experience and previous widows yelena has helped, it was advice she could trust to give to the other. “it’s okay.”

she found herself standing at the door of her 'sister' with her hands tucked under her armpits to keep them warm and she shook . the chill reaching the lowest layer of her clothing as she waited . when the other widow approached , ilya fought the urge to crumble right there . by blood , yelena and ilissabella weren't family , but that didn't matter to her . she stepped forward , looking at yelena before hurrying after the vodka bottle sitting half empty on the table . ilya took a swig from the bottle , disregarding the glass that sat not a few inches in front of her then set the bottle down . she politely dabbed at the excess that slipped past her . " I do not know what to do with myself . " she mumbled , looking down at her hands . " these are not the hands of a hero , yelena . these are the hands of a killer and- " ilya paused to blink back tears that threatened to spill down her cheeks . " what do I do ? "

for the first time in months the white widow /finally/ a had a day off. not that she didn’t mind her job, she excelled at it and was able to free other widows from dreykov, the red room, as she had nearly a year ago. it still stuck with her, all those heavy emotions and the women that freed her, who in return had been killed by agent belova. & having set out a bottle of vodka and a pre-poured shot, yelena took a swing feeling the alcohol running down her throat. and man, did it satisfy her. it wasn’t often she got time to herself & she was enjoying it non the least and yet, her quality time paused & abruptly on edge. sharp green eyes observed the area and even though at first glance nothing caught her eye, she knew better, she could tell someone was here. whether it was friend or foe, time would tell. “ilya” guard dropping almost immediately at the ‘former’ black widow assassin, arching an brow at the other. truthfully it had been awhile since the two spoke since Yelena herself freed ilya. normally she would receive notice from the other if they were dropping in. worry filled the blonde noticing the tone the other widow spoke in. “come. come on in. help yourself,” motioning to the half full bottle of vodka on the table. “what’s up?”

" so you've a plan then ? " she asked , raising an eyebrow at the other . a loud thud in the distance caused her to flinch and shrink back into the shadows of the wall beside her . " because i don't see how we're getting out of here without one , " she continued , voice much lower than before .

“same thing.” russian accent thick as ever & gave a slight eye roll. as a black widow assassin she had been in many sketchy life-threatening situations, so being pessimism in the moment wasn’t her thing nor priority. “i’m trained for these circumstances. we’ll get out, alive & well. just do as i say.”

the brunette let out a curt laugh , shaking her head . flare was typically one to look on the bright side of things ( usually for someone else’s benefit ) , but even she had to admit this situation wasn’t exactly … ideal . “ i’m not being negative , i’m being realistic . ‘n i’m not sure how much faith we’re gonna need to get out this . ”
