(y/n)'s Name Change: Mara Pines 
          	
          	Hey, guys! For those of you who have read my Pines Triplets story, you may know a lot about (y/n) based on all the stories. 
          	
          	However, what a lot of you probably didn’t know was that (y/n) was actually a Gravity Falls OC that I created three years ago! Her name was Mara Pines, after my sister who she was based off of. That’s the reason that she has a lot of character and personality for a reader insert: because she is actually an OC narrated to be a reader insert! 
          	
          	Unfortunately, the name issue has been creating all sorts of problems for me, mostly with fans who are having issues with naming her in their fan art and fanfics when she was known as “(y/n)” in the original content. 
          	
          	I’ve also received a few complaints over the past couple years regarding the issue of the reader insert having too much personality, and therefore technically not being a reader insert story. 
          	
          	So I’m announcing the solution to that problem. From now on, (y/n) is going to be known as “Mara Pines,” the original name that I gave her. I will be posting the original version of all the stories on Wattpad and Quotev, and will provide the links when I’m done. (Don’t worry, the stories are exactly the same, only with “Mara” replacing “(y/n).”) 
          	
          	I will leave up the reader insert versions for readers who want to immerse themselves in the story from Mara’s point of view. If I post anymore stories, there will be two versions: the original version, and the reader insert version.
