"Interesting..." he would begin upon seeing the woman, his eyes landing on the impressive spear she brought with her, then reconnecting with her eyes. Something... didn't feel right. A mysterious shift on the energy surrounding her -- it was much more abstract than that, though the only way he could find to describe it. She didn't *belong* here. "Φαίνεσαι λίγο παράταιρος, καλή μου <You seem a little out of place, my dear>."

"It is much more of an honour to be graced by your presence, it is a blessing to serve you." She'd become a ghost story all over Greece, which became the reason why many confused her for a god. Sometimes, she would abuse this fact, which she knew was bound to serve her some punishments if the actual gods found out. So, she tended to be slightly careful with announcing any false information like that. "That I am. You shall see that which had been stolen back in your possession, if it is the last thing I do."

"Eleni, it's an honour meeting you," he repeated after her, offering a small, but sincere smile to the woman. Upon hearing the way she was mostly known as, he had the feeling that he had heard it before. But with memories from seven lives, some that dated since the very awakening of this universe, it was difficult to remember what he needed and wanted to remember without his relics. "I see... a noble warrior indeed," he had met plenty of mercenaries back then, always hired to work for other people. Now, displaced in time, he wondered it if was the first time she was in a personal quest.

In her day, some people throughout Greece would claim that the gods had sent her to help them. She would shake her head, claim she was working of her own volition with perhaps some help from the gods when she needed it, but *this* was true divine intervention. It was no coincidence that she should run into one of the gods now. "I am Eleni, daughter of Kadmos." She responded, shaking his hand in a firm motion. Her posture was particular, presenting herself as a trustworthy soldier of the cause. "Some know me as the Raven of Megaris. I operate as a misthios but was trained under a Spartan leader."

Passed the initial shock, for all those things about time travelling were nothing but fictional themes for her, and yes, it's certain that it would be pretty hard to wrap her head around it all, Gaby would be even more fascinated by the woman... that's for sure! I mean, Eleni is living History! How could someone not get excited to talk with her? The South American woman was completely *fascinated* about the past. She wanted to be an archaeologist when she was a child... sure, she also wanted to be an astronaut, and that seemed more *future* leaning, but in fact her interest was *past* leaning. She wanted to know all the little details about how the universe itself started! ...Science as a whole wanted to answer that question, and she really wished she could help them to discover all the mysteries humanity still lived with, all those unanswered questions... "Bueno <Good>, till the end of the day, it'll be returned to its respective place, back with its rightful owner," she winked, as if sealing a promise, before smiling up to the woman. "Absolutely, it'll be my pleasure to show you it all about how I'd do it, princesa."

It was difficult to quantify the fears involved with being *so* misplaced in time. Perhaps her gratitude seemed dramatic from an outside perspective because, admittedly, her lack of transparency on the subject could lead to confusion. The problem was- Eleni herself did not understand it. She was struggling her way through the modern world, using techniques and societal standards she was used to, but perhaps that was the wrong way to go. Perhaps, rather, she should be learning from those around her. "Yes, that is the only thing." She answered, trying to drag her focus back to the mission they were settling on. It couldn't all be doom and gloom if she had someone here to work with her. "Would you teach me how you would go about recovering it? Like... Techniques and such?"

Gaby couldn't even begin to imagine how it was like for the other. For starters, she didn't know Eleni had been displaced in time. That would've blown her mind already! Sure, she occasionally wore Greek clothes and all, that seemed very similar to the kind of outfit she saw in the History books when she had time to stop by a library to read, but she thought it was just something from her culture. She didn't know much about Greece to know what was or wasn't usual, although yes, the pieces of armour would be a little too much. That certainly wasn't customary! Was she going to comment on that, though? No, definitely not. What if she had to work at a thematic place, or something? That's a stretch, but what does she know?! Exactly, next to nothing about the woman, except for the fact that she was very kind, gentle... and had quite the warm presence, that made you comfortable around her. At least, Gaby felt that way when near the woman.
But, anyways... *if* she knew about it all, one thing's for sure: she would say that Eleni was experiencing one of the most terrifying things! To get to learn that the time you come from is now called 'ancient times', and basically the world as you know had changed completely to the point of leaving you with the feeling that it no longer exists?! People no longer worship the same gods, bombs and drones replaced swords and spears, and you can hardly trust someone's words, for most people don't keep up with their promises nor honour their agreements anymore?!
...That sounded pretty pessimistic, but... wait, what's it Eleni's saying?! Gaby almost missed it, distracted as she took notice of her smile, however small, glad she could bring her some comfort, at least. "Don't worry about it, I promise it's okay. It's not like I won't be having fun doing it," she reassured with a smile too. "Is this the only item we'll be... 'recovering'?"

"I didn't mean to eavesdrop you, but..." she began, a light Russian accent as she spoke. "I might be able to help you. If you want weapons, supplies, or just a way out of the city..." she took a new bite of her apple and shrugged casually, leaning against the wall outside of the bar.

"I've heard that too," she would chuckle, watching the other woman with curiosity. Intrigued by her accent, but not really being able to guess where she was from. "Of course, that's basically what I do for a living, nowadays. For an amount of money, or any items that I can sell later on... I can provide you anything. Or contact someone that has what you need for selling," she admitted, speaking freely for she was feeling quite confident that the woman was no cop or agent of any sort. "I'm Silverbird. Just Silver, for shorters, if you rather. The codename is for my own protection, you know how that is, especially since what I do isn't exactly legal..."

"In some cultures, that is considered rude." Eleni spoke absently, as if she wasn't all that bothered by it, with a noticeable Greek accent behind her words. "Would you? How do you provide these services? What is your name?"

He would nod his head in understanding -- so it was indeed just as he presumed. "I handle weapons like these since I was eleven," he told her, picking up a cigarette and his lighter. "Would you mind if I smoked?" he inquired her with a quirked eyebrow, before he continued: "But I only had proper training a few years later..." it was easy for him to pick up the lessons, though, due the familiarity he already had with them. "Would you like to inspect it?" he gestured towards the sniper rifle. "Be my guest."

"I understand. It is not ideal for all. The importance is finding a skill for yourself that you can master in a similar way." Eleni nodded with understanding, still intrigued by the weapons that the other would use in contrast. Because, of course, anything modern was a spectacle to the mercenary. "Since I was a little girl. How long have you been trained with your own methods?"

He respected that, the dedication one must have to learn such skills, but... "I'm afraid I'm not that patient," he commented with a gentle smile. "Besides, you know what they say about old dogs and new tricks," he rested his arms behind his back. "You've been probably doing this for a while, huh?"

"It takes work." She nodded, her focus far more set upon the weapon that the other woman was handling. "How does it function?"

"Yeah," she responded with a small smile, picking up the weapon from its case. "Close combat is far too risky, especially for certain operations. I could never handle a sword the way you do, though."

"A few," she responded with a gentle smile, as she walked beside the woman. "I live here since... well, I was old enough to get on a plane by myself," she shrugged; the necessity of leaving her *complicated* family behind was something she seldom discussed. "And -- well, as you may have noticed, I like talking. A lot," she chuckled, shaking her head to herself. "And meeting new people. So, I enjoy going to bars, events and stuff."

"I'm glad." Eleni was struck with a more earnest smile than she was used to giving in her profession. "Have you explored many of the places that there is to offer here?" She asked, for the sake of learning more about the other woman with a tilted head and a welcoming expression.

"Well, my arrows are not as impressive as your own." She faltered in her movements at the newfound company, but the hesitation didn't last long as she her eyes were back on the targets. "I am not used to such ... clean targets. You are more than welcome to stay, of course. You might even be able to give me some tips."

"I'll try my best," the Argentine woman responded with a gracious smile, before adding in an equal light tone: "As long as you promise me doing the same, princesa," she finished it with a playful wink, adjusting the heavy sword in her grasp. "I really hope they do... even if just to say 'Hi' to you again. I would surely like that..." her tone was quieter when she said that, almost sounding sheepish, but even if she was a tad bashful to say it, that didn't stop the words from coming out.

"Keep yourself out of trouble, Gaby." She warned, though her tone was less authoritative and more light and fleeting. She'd hate to see the other in the wrong circumstances, after all! Her job was quite unforgiving. "The same with you. If you ever need my assistance in the future, I am sure we will run into each other. The gods have a funny way of twisting fate."

Ah, now that was a nice change of scenario. A few minutes ago, she could've sworn the other would be using that fancy sword against her -- now there she was, laughing so lightheartedly! It was contagious -- her smile suited her well, too. It could lighten up the entire room! "Absolutely," the thief bowed playfully. "It was a pleasure doing business with you, señorita <miss>. Wish you the best of luck..." Gaby surely needed luck too, she knows it! Even more if she wanted to lie to the businessman who hired her. But she didn't regret a thing!
