how big is the bounty on my head? or did you take the task without checking.

akvengez

i am surprised that it is that high; i would have figured they would have left me alone after I sent numerous assassins back to them. fighting for their life. [EYE TWITCH—ANNOYANCE RISES]. to fight me where civilians are, children. at least come get me when i’m alone.

[the man walks away, returning to his cleaning, eyes barely casting a glance at him]. you were never going to kill me, were you. i could see it in your eyes the first time i felt your presence.

@akvengez i didn't care for the bounty when i first saw that you were wanted. i just had to check if it really was you. if you really were alive. [ a moment of (loud) silence is shared between the two, until hanzō speaks up once more. ]

it started off at 5 billion, if i recall correctly. it's far larger than that now, though. asaki wanted to ensure that whoever could catch the infamous medusa. i had to see you.

breaking in? never took you for that type of person.

hide—out? look around, hanzō and tell me if you see a hide—out. [an amused smirk twitches at the edge of his lips, looking down to stifle a little laugh]. you are right, heard about it from the last assassin that tried to come get me. thanks to them, they warned me ahead of time and i let them leave without putting them out of commission for awhile. [with a small sigh, mitsuki takes a seat on a rather dusty crate, looking off in the distance]. i knew you would come. i expected you—seems like all we do nowadays, expect to see each other.

[from where he sits, he casts a careful glance over at him, as if he’s still assessing the situation; still on guard]. though, i’m surprised they let you come anywhere close to me, considering our track record. i would have assumed they would have kept sending others before they even looked over at you.

@akvengez * [ hanzō is quick to turn around the moment he hears a familiar voice, already on edge. the moment he realised it was just mitsuki, he visibly relaxed. a threat, just not to him. clearing his throat, he ran his fingers through his hair before speaking up. ] no, no— it's not like that. the.. asaki said they found your hideout. i had to come make sure for myself—- make sure /you/ were safe.

i'm sorry for the intrusion. i didn't want to risk getting caught in case i needed to ambush them. [ dark eyes met brown ones (were they always that captivating?) the moment he finished explaining himself, an apologetic and sheepish look plastered all over his face. ] ..on the bright side though, it seems like they were wrong.

did asaki send you? tell me, why are you here?

@yamata-no-orochi [ hanzō's brows furrow, arms crossed over his chest. he listens intently, as if she was mentioning his life's purpose. at the mention of a lead, he practically straightens up. so he was still alive— possibly. now he'd try to find him. ] i see. do you happen to know where his file is at the moment. we gave it to some other assassin for his case, but i need to review it. especially considering now that you may know where he is— we can't afford to miss any details.

[ he nods along to her words, arms now unfolded and hands tucked away into the pockets of his pants. despite the pair not having interact much before, hanzō couldn't help but feel a sense of respect and gratitude towards the yamagakashi. ] i— we are grateful for your effort, considering how busy you must be with other situations and cases. if you need any help with anything troubling you, do not hesitate to inform me. [ a moment of silence is hung in the air, until hanzō speaks up once more. (HE'S CERTAIN HE'S RAMBLING AT THIS POINT.) not that he cares much though. ] same goes for any new news about mitsuki.

@miinobe: oh. (the mention of mitsuki makes her throat burn as if she's just spit more poison out of her body. orochi sits up forward in her chair, eyes squinting at hanzo, resting her face on her fist, before scanning his face and body language. she was never too fond of asaki in all honestly, nor was she too fond of people randomly entering her room and interrupting her work, it was quite the .. inconvience for her. but still, work is work, and things like this were bound to happen, even if she was an assassin.) there's been (...) progress. i have a lead, but nothing too strong to confirm anything specific yet. finding the medusa isn't my top priority as of right now.

@onnanohebi he did. since he's too busy, he wants me to come in and check if there's any progress on finding mitsuki. [ a moment or two of silence as he glances around, biting the inside of his cheek. not long after, he speaks up again. ] well, is there?
