Help- I just came out to my mum (not the rest of my fam yet) as trans-

SOMEONE WHO SEES THIS can I have some advice?!?? I want to come out to my family as trans, and I know they will be supportive enough of me, but it’s still hard. Does anyone have any advice for me on how to do it??

@Lydixox2004 thanks so much for the advice love!! I think I might do something like the letter and have them read it while I’m with a friend or something hahaha, that’s a good idea, thanks!! Also thanks again aww I’ll be glad to finally tell them :)

Sit them down, make sure you are calm and your parents are too. If you feel like you can’t do it in person write them a letter and then go spend the day at a friends house until you can come out. I’m so happy that you feel like you can tell your family :)

@cancelsalmoncowbell yeah it really makes me appreciate him even more which was a lot before. And it will always hurt but it’s also amazing that he has opened up to us like this it’s just so sad bc he’s so amazing and he should never feel that way
