              he has been married thrice, two
              died of natural causes & one is
              still alive (if being buried in a lead
              coffin counts as being alive). he
              never talks about them. he also
              had two sons at a point but he lost
              them to the plague. he has a 
              surrogate father who is a fallen
              angel that ended up in hell & is now
              a butler who works at his estate.
              you will meet him, he's always
              hanging around. he started trading
              alcohol & then it started to expand.
              he now trades drugs, arms, alcohol
              & a number of other things. he has
              an insane amount of wealth but he
              gives the majority of it to charity.

              because he is a demon belonging
              to the lust realm, he has certain
              physiological traits that make his
              ultimate goal on earth (to seduce
              & tempt mortals) easier to
              perform. he is a demon that
              has eaten the human soul of his
              vessel & has inhabited said vessel.
              he has had 2 vessels in his life,
              which is uncommon for demons.
              the body will flush the systems
              with histamines, prostaglandins
              & bradykinin. this causes a 
              global (full body) pain response.
              the pain is made worse by his
              overall sensitivity to stimulus.
              after the establishment of a pain
              reaction in the body, the body will
              flush the systems with oxytocin,
              estradiol, endorphins & prolactin.
              this causes sexual arousal. in the
              instance that the chemicals are not
              reduced, the pain will increase. the
              chemicals will continue to cycle,
              the body producing them at an
              unprecedented rate. the body also
              flushes itself with its own venom -
              a substance that heightens sex
              hormones in others but can be
              redirected to affect the venom
              owner. the rapid 
              cycling of these chemicals cause
              the following symptoms: dizziness,
              disorientation, inability to
              concentrate, irritability, inability to
              remain still, broken speech, flushed
              face, increased temperature,
              muscle spasms, oral fixation. 
              
              this can be reduced using
              SHIFT SUPPRESSANTS a type of
              medication that suppresses
              the demonic "shift" otherwise
              known as their demonic dna. there
              are medications that do not
              suppress the shift but instead 
              lessen the effects of the episode.
              the most common way of ceasing
              the episode is to sleep with
              someone & this usually lasts
              anywhere between 2 to 36 hours
              depending on the severity of the 
              episode & time intervals between
              engaging in sexual intimacy.

                  running from the past
            
              i will not pussyfoot his lore. he is
              severely troubled & has suffered 
              throughout the entirety of his life.
              as a human, he was subjected to
              severe abuse from his father & he
              later survived severe abuse from
              the wartimes & from his ex
              husband. those are the biggest
              pieces of his past — there are more
              things that shaped him & define
              how he interacts now. there are
              mentions of suicide, death, child
              abuse, substance abuse, self harm,
              emotional abuse, mental abuse,
              physical abuse, SA, SA of a minor,
              torture & probably a lot more that
              i missed. he was a vent character
              at a point, therefore i made him as
              angsty as possible. he is also a
              demon who belongs to the lust 
              realm. i will explain the physiologic
              aspects in another thread but be
              warned that it is triggering. do not
              assume i support these things. do
              not attack me, nor those who
              interact with me. do not assume
              i am sick in the head for this.
              do not be childish & complain
              about my behaviour to people
              without addressing me first. if you
              have a problem with me, talk to me.
              i'm not afraid to block anyone or
              report them for being ignorant.

 sicarius kept his gaze fixed on the other, his dog sat obediently by his side. truthfully, when someone spoke like this, it meant they were about to attempt killing the demon. he was just waiting for that. he hadn't torn someone's throat out in weeks, this would be a perfect release of pent up anger. "why would i want to scare you away? i do not see the necessity of frightening you when i can just as easily kill you and eliminate the problem of having you poke around where you shouldn't. besides, the only people that hate me are law enforcement and my business rivals. the civilians haven't a clue of what's going on."

    ‛     an    amused   brow   was  raised   in  the response   he   received.   it  was   direct   and  blunt.    whereas    others   often   shied   away from    rumours    and    the  bitter   truth.     rurik   hummed,     giving   the   other   a   silent  nod  of   understanding.       but   this   only   raised  more  curiosity    on   his   end,       leaving   him   with  questions    than   an  answer.        “not  with  me,   no.         does   the  city   loathe   you   that   much   or   you   are   just    saying  it   to  scare  me   away?    if   that’s   the  case,    then   you’ve   failed  immensely.”

"no one is fond of me. speak to anyone in this city and they'll tell you they wish me death. i do not need their kindness or their praise — i do not care for them, nor their opinions. and the dog..." he said something in latin and the dog sat, "is the better of two options."
