A controversy note:
If you have noticed that some stories are missing, details have been changed, and other anomalies, most of these changes are due to the following:
When I first started posting on Wattpad, I was about 12 or 13 years old. The majority of my stories were written between the ages of 14—17. At that age, I was as impressionable as any teenager. I grew up in an unhealthy household and raised with some unacceptable beliefs that I have since recognized and worked to change.
That being said, I was dismayed to (relatively) recently reread some of my old fics to find that they glorified certain ideas I believe are harmful; might have already seen the warnings I have written in. These ideas include rape, underage sexual content, and domestic violence.
Some actions I have taken upon realizing this is to write warnings, rewrite stories, change ages, and remove stories that were too much to be salvaged.
An example: Teacher’s Boyfriend was my first completed story, and it was the first to hit 100,000 hits. I was proud of it, until I reread it, and the comments left from probably younger fans, and became painfully aware of the real message I was proliferating. Looking back on my life, I could e see how reading the contents could have harmed me at high school age, and others who were in similar situations. I removed it, as much as it hurt to do so, because it is my responsibility as a human being in this world with a voice (however large or small) not to use my platform to spread the acceptance of not only egregiously unethical practices — but especially of ideas that can cause harm to the most vulnerable.
I was WRONG. I am human. Please. Do not take what I have to say and the ideas I share as doctrine.
Alright, I’m stepping down from my high horse. Back to regularly scheduled programming.
