(selfish, i know.) it’s easier to choose silence, for being more promising of a lack of change. not that that made it any easier. 
            
            “all i want is for you to be happy.” a shrug is tossed in, and his gaze is nothing but dedicated on the space in front of him, hoping it might alleviate (whatever it was he felt.) the off tone blue highlights the creases beneath his eyes, which were easily depicted as being conflicted. “what am i supposed to do?” god, i never know what to say, like you do.

i said ‘you make me so sad’,      and i also happen to know that you have the capacity to hear and consequently don’t require any repeating.   you didn’t look like you needed more salt rubbed on the wound either.   but i just told you anyway. 

a baby with glaringly bright red overalls opens the rundown door you knock on uptown every sunday for a hook–up,   ——     i’d say the joke writes itself out but it doesn’t and that’s somehow the least concerning detail concerning this,   brian.

            (…)  the thrill lingered, apparent within his demeanor being presented. thoroughly sensible when taking into consideration, the clashing of beers and light souls laughing in the night. they accompanied Sinatra’s (Jr.) and his ensemble. look to his right, and there he was. what was once a nihilistic and alcoholic man became something entirely polar. tonight, he felt like a star. it was tonight, that he was free. (too much?) the corners of his lips begin to form into a smile, and then soon a short laugh followed. ENTER: clark callaway. if there was thing brian knew, was that the man had a stigma surrounding him that could lure a crowd in with a flash of his smile. the undeniable endearment even works on brian, which he typically would resent. tonight was different, and the compliment rests well on his conscience. enthusiasm seemed to be the only reaction he could provide. “only when the moment presents itself, ya know? i mean, it’s not like i’m getting paid to drink ha-ha!”
