i do this with every canon character at least once. it's a tradition at this point to do so. idk i like giving canon characters things that i have/deal with
neuvillette has chronic leg pain. he has his cane near him at all times because of it, too, just in case he starts hurting at a random point in time. sometimes, he has good days where he doesn't need it at all. other days, he'd be forcing himself to push through the pain because he has a job to do — he can't just avoid it because he's hurting
