@hopeless-yandere it was a story on here called Sweet Blissful Hell, it's in my SpIcY reading lists. Its a Hawks/Dabi/Reader story and it made me cry so much.
            It's hard to explain what goes on...but it is so good!!

            This specific one was a mermaid. He was cursed to not be able to walk on land on his own... So after seeing that he has rivals, he split his mermaid tail into two and was crawling on land looking for the WL
            
            Never truly got over that and how it was described
