peripheral pulmonary stenosis and patent foramen ovale.

I hope they explained that about 20% of babies are born with them and live normal lives until they show symptoms way in the future that can be fixed.

I am so sorry you are going through this and can't even imagine your worry. But read up on it and it should help keep you alert to symptoms and more relaxed about it.

Because I can just picture the way the doctor tried to explain it :)
Can't even count how many times I had to go over the explanation given to a patient. Then they would look at me and say " well why didn't he just say that "

THANKS so much everyone for all the prayers, congrats, and other well wishes. Sadee is out of the hospital and is gaining weight. No more jaundice either. When we took her to see her primary we were told that while she was admitted they noticed she had a heart murmur. I said why didn't they mention it to me & the Dr replied they probably didn't want to worry you. I said that's bs they had no problems telling us she could have digestive issues & admitting her. Anyways, she said so I'm sending you to the cardiologist @ children's hospital. Which happened to be the hospital we were just at, to say I was pissed would be an understatement. So, we found out she has PFO & PPS. Both aren't life threatening and pretty normal. The Dr said if the PPS isn't better by 6 months we have to come back to have echo and other tests done. It's too confusing to say what it they stand for.
