Hey y’all. The last two days have been a roller
Coaster here... and not a good one. Our dog Macy, a 13ish year old rescue we got two years ago from a shelter, went missing yesterday. This morning I found her sitting in the yard at the porch steps but she had no use of her back leg and could not walk (I have no idea how she crawled home). There was no vet that could see her and the soonest anyone would be in was Wednesday. We thought we could keep her comfortable but as the day went on it became obvious she was busted up inside and bleeding. She also began to have trouble breathing. Adding all her issues together, plus her age, arthritis, and the fact that no vet could see her until Wednesday, we decided to put her out of her misery. My husband had to do it himself and it was hard. Our family has cried all day. She has a nice little grave we’re going to decorate. Our only consolation is knowing that the last two years of her life we gave her all the love and attention that one dog could hope for.

          	Love y’all

@conleyswifey I had a similar experience with my 17 yr old female rescue. She was in pain and I went to Pet Smart to get help and they wouldn't even let me in the area. My husband and I called our vet and he said bring her over. He said she was not going to last because of her pain so we made the choice to have her put down.

If anybody has a dog in pain because of long toenails do not go to Pet Smart. They abuse animals there. I went back the next day and trashed their store aisles. I should have burned their store down with their groomer tied up and soaked in gasoline.

After I left the store I was calm. My husband and I went the next day to an animal shelter and adopted the most beautiful female canine but I call her a pitmal as she is a little terror but she eats everybody with kisses.

Congratulations for you and your son on his completion of 8 grade. I wish he could have had the happiness of walking across the stage. Praying he’ll have the chance when he completes H.S.
Very happy you and the family are all doing well. Continued Blessings

My oldest son graduated 8th grade today! I officially have a highschooler! How is that possible, y'all? I'm not nearly old enough.... Because of Covid-19 and restrictions my sons 8th grade class (of only 15 students) had a drive thru graduation... which meant no getting out of the car--which means my son graduated 8th grade in his sweatpants! He's going places, y'all!

I am working on the next chapter of 'The Preachers' Widow' so it should be posted within the next 24 hrs or so. Tomorrow will be a busy day with getting our vegetable garden planted but I'm hoping that the chapter will happen!
          Love y'all
