as a black woman who grew up in a society that was hostile towards black people and people of colour, I always tried to raise my voice, but I was insignificant. People would just say "shut up, who cares", make me feel bad or stupid. I have to survive staying in silence because I couldn't express the pain and the anger I was feeling. Imagine crying because of your skin color. Imagine wishing so bad to be like the other kids, you would actually start to hate yourself and your culture. Imagine having panic attacks before getting on the school bus with the awareness that your racism classmates would humiliate you publicly. Imagine being unable to defend yourself when your "friends" make racist jokes.
What happened in these days is nothing new. Racism is everywhere, it's supported by institutions and by the mainstream culture.
We've been talking about for centuries, yet there's no progress. Your ignorance is killing us, your coward silence is killing us. Just stop saying "not all white people" and "all lives matter", stop shifting the attention on yourself and on your privilege. Inform yourself and other people, use your privilege to help us reach those who won't listen to us.
We are tired.

@clovdyheaven Yeah, I'm from a Chinese background and like my 'friends' call me a China-girl and bully me bc of it, so much so that I went through a 3-yr-phase of hating myself and my background. Yes I am suicidal and yes I am going through that self-harm phase, and all my 'friends' do is say 'Oh but no one cares about China-girls because they're so ugly and f*cking stupid.' Like even on Wattpad - the page is white. F*cking white.

@clovdyheaven I hope you stay safe! Damn yes, they're fuckin ignorant. I basically had a huge debacle on Instagram with this ignorant af white girl and her cronies because she won't accept my criticism about a whitewashed art of Princess Jasmine. She even went so far as stalking my account and story posts, asking her equally racist pale ass white friends to stalk me and harassing me. They said such things as "reverse racism exists" which is a complete and utter bullshit. I tried to educate her on white privilege and stuffs, and the best they could say about that is that I was "childish". I didn't care, truth has to be spread so I uploaded screenshots of her racist comments, reported them and got them removed by Instagram under violation of terms, and publicly humiliate them. I'm so tired af of these white shits.

I would like to sincerely thank all the people who are taking their time to read my poems. Writing is becoming something that is keeping me alive, is the way I'm trying to fully understand myself and my emotions. I know I'm not good, it's not about being noticed for my talent (writing is not my talent), it's just something I'm doing for myself. I think I love the pic I've set as my profile picture because of that sense of melancholy and loneliness emerging from it. And my mum hates that pic, she says that it doesn't show my beauty, as my face is covered.
