Hello, I was trying to purchase The Silver Ones, but it’s out of stock and can’t seem to find it on kindle or anywhere online, I would prefer it on the app rather then paper copy. What should I do? I lived the book on Wattpad, can’t wait for the rest of them. Please help

Long time from my last post!! Wanted to give an honest update.
I have loved wattpad in ways I never thought I would when I first joined. I encountered my very first fans here, and knowing that people enjoyed my stories changed how I saw my writing.
However, this site has changed. My activity on my chapters is so very low. The biggest incentive to posting for free is knowing that I’ve at least got some fans who will vote/comment but even that is on the low end of engagement. And getting new readers is the hardest it’s ever been. Since I am getting a following in the publishing world, posting my stories on here also removes the aspect of a book “debuting” by placing it on here for free.
With that, I am not honestly sure where I am going with this site or if I will reupload any of my stories/post future stories here. Jane will get two more chapters very soon, and from there, I’m not sure how much I will continue since I plan to publish it in September.
One day I do plan to to return to Rubies and post that on here. But so far, that’s my only real plan with Wattpad.
It’s a hard decision, honesty. I just miss the good old days of the site where it was so community driven, everyone was so active, ranks mattered, hard work meant more readers, etc. But it’s not that way anymore and I can’t change that.
I’m trying to take my works professionally, which means posting books for free has to be considered differently now, too.
I’ll still have a Jane update very soon and then ask the readers there on their opinion! Other than that, I may have to officially step away from wattpad in terms of publishing on here for a while

That’s a good point in keeping things live on here, also the nostalgia!!! And yeah the site has completely changed. It’s so disappointing when all you want to do is write and have readers. My main account is Instagram! @cmalloryauthor that’s where people follow my published works I’ve heard people on here go to Inkitt or tapas. Maybe those would be worth looking into!!! @charlottemallory You are one of the best writers I've found on here! I purchased The Silver Ones (physical copy) after reading the first few chapters on wattpad. I have purchased three books from other wattpad writers after being able to read sample chapters of their work. I think there is still value in posting the first few chapters of your books on here because it may still bring you interested readers that want to purchase your books. I'm a big fan of Rubies and would definitely buy that book if you were to publish lol. I understand your disappointment in wattpad... I have very few readers and I've been on here for three years. I'm hesitant to try other sites and put my books on other platforms but I wonder if there are better ones where my books would get more readers. You will definitely be missed by your readers on wattpad. I'm glad you're going to be working on publishing. Where do people usually follow your works? Have you had better luck on other platforms?
@charlottemallory oh my goodness charlottemallory , this is so sad to hear, Vermilion was the one of the most amazing vampire books I have ever read on here, ever since i read it I've been looking for something similar only to still be looking. I rarely read on her and when ever I do, it's to come looking for Vermilion hoping there would be an update. I will miss you so much . If you ever published it I would pay in a heartbeat. I wish I had a more concrete answer! The truth is that writing and editing is so time consuming, and I do have published works right now. I’m struggling balancing time with published works and works on wattpad.
It’s still on my mind but I don’t know the reality of getting it finished any time soon. I wish I had a better answer!

MAJOR UPDATES ... TLDR at the bottom
RYDER Sequel is getting taken down in about two weeks. I just released a chapter detailing this. Basically, I don't think it's professional to have the first draft of the sequel available for free when people are going to pay for the first one.
SILVER ONES sequel is underway :D It's coming along really great!!
JANE is going to be finished on Wattpad, then probably swiftly taken down afterwards for editing. But I do plan to finish it on here.
HARLAND is getting taken down by the end of the month for editing. I do plan to re-upload it here for about a month or so for the fans who enjoyed it <3
RUBIES... boy I am GLAD I took a break on that one. My ability to write has changed DRASTICALLY and it will show when I start tackling this story. I've been taking notes for changes and been working on this one slowly. My confidence for this book is much higher and I do plan to publish it back on here once the time comes <3

Why am I doing this? Well, I didn't expect my published novels to actually get such strong receptions!!! And while I LOVE Wattpad (primarily for my readers), I think I can feel a shift where I am moving to publication. I've tried applying for Wattpad's Star, Creator and PAID programs many times, but I've not been accepted. And since I want to take my works seriously, I have to consider other platforms. And publishing felt like the best option so you're not paying for episodes, etc but rather for the whole book. EDITED, too.
The reason why I am a little all over the place is due to shifting my priorities in the middle of writing. But as I move forward, I plan to have a more streamlined process. Stories uploaded to Wattpad will only be done when they are written and with regular updates from now on <3 This will be to gain feedback from bookclubs and give you guys early access!!!

@charlottemallory agreed. SO compiles everything for you and forces people to use one medium for reading it. Makes it so much easier than trying to wrangle separate emails and copies and versions and whatever. I’d had a lot of success using it so far. I’ve run two books through their beat function so far. No real complaints yet.
@dtaylorbooks_ No I'm actually using book funnel at the moment! I pay 10 bucks a month and they send secure ARCs. I'll have to look into Story Origin for beta reading when the time comes. I'm becoming a fan of using other resources versus just sending a book out with no safety net

Hello my lovely readers! Some updates…
I’m very tempted to take down Wolves of Harland for a bit. I’m growing so much as a writer AND storyteller. WoH has so much potential to be really gripping, and yet not changing a whole lot. Just move some scenes around, really heighten the dynamics, and add a few scenes.
I want to do the same thing I did for Rubies and work on it offline before reuploading it. I’m just getting more confident in story telling, character behavior, and plot. I tended to hold back out of uncertainty, and that really showed in Rubies. And I’m realizing I have a similar issue with Harland.

I love wattpad but I’m finding so much joy in publication. And I want to really challenge myself. Which means prioritizing each book/series versus writing multiple stories at once. I’m also getting better at plotting, as Secrets of Jane isn’t going to need a huge rewrite, and it’s my latest book where I used a better method for drafting. I’m hoping this translates to better storytelling in the future
Just a reminder that the books I put on here are the very first drafts, so this is why this happens sometimes. Although, I do plan to move everything to publication one day, so the end results will always be a refined story thank you for being on this journey with me!!
