i have still yet to understand why she treats you so differently ..

[ ‘name it’. she was to name the beetle. already, she searched and searched her brain for a name most fitting, from kings and queens to poets and nuns, even a mesyr or two. then, with a glance to the violet beetle again. she shrugs] meleys. @yungfyre

[it was rare for the young princess to keep up a conversation, never mind one with someone outside of her family. perhaps jayne brought her a form of ..comfort, and liberty to be as free spirited and herself as she wished. she too glanced over at the violet winged beetle in the elder’s cupped hands, and after a moment of thinking she ultimately shrugs] i haven’t decided yet ..you can name it if you wish

@yungfyre [despite the truth of the princess’s words, she smiles. and perhaps she should hate herself for it— but she does not. whether it be oriane or styorra. one is her sister and the other.. a could-have-been-friend. nonetheless, jayne shrugs, and resumes to curiously looking at the color violet beetle raelys allowed her to hold] it is how the world works, i suppose. .. what did you name this one?

trust me, vessarion won’t harm you ..

oh, thank God. [all her stresses and stiffness flee with the wind when she opens her eyes and finds her five fingers still in tact. she still does not have the confidence to look vessarion in the eyes. but to show her gratitude, a small and awkwardly moved bow is given. before she turns her attention to the wrinkles of her gown, smoothing them down swiftly ] I could have died @draqriys

@birdsburn [she had every reason to be nervous. dragons were unpredictable, even more-so in the presence of a person who didn’t adopt the gift of riding them from their ancestors .. and vessarion didn’t exactly have the best reputation, hence his dubbed name the ‘green fury’. out of the four pillars, he was the most erratic and violent —in which he resembled his fellow rider, so in truth she had every right to be afraid. he however was very confident that this first encounter between her and vessarion would go smoothly, for his dragon seemed even more docile upon her approach ..taking in her scent attentively as he muttered soft commands in his mother tongue to the scaled beast. to his expectation, vessarion remained gentle and ultimately approved of the fayte girl, letting out a low bellow in acceptance and ultimate approval] see .. nothing to be afraid of

@draqriys [ dragons were the few creations of God, aside from what lies within the white forest that truly terrified her. still, there was a spark of reverence for them, sprouted from the seed of curiosity and her love for history. she even had favorites, like the mount of king aeros’ son jaehaerys the divine, meleys .. a purple dragon. and despite their great presence within the north even before her time— she could not put on a brave face. violet eyes were widen and unwavering. her hand itched and twitched, staying at her side for the longest time. she had to close her eyes to gain enough confidence, and allow her hand to reach out towards the green fury]

i thought you’d like these.. irises

@yungfyre [ her expression softens and her smile grows. now holding the flowers in her lap, forgetting about the needle and thread. she moved herself, and pats the open space beside her, beckoning for the princess to sit with her ] well then, i will be sure to cherish them forever, thank you

[the young princess would only shrug, glancing down at the assortment of purple and blue irises she had picked up during her venture out in the woods before the elder of the two graciously took them into her clutch] the color purple reminds me of you.. well, your eyes. and you happen to wear blue a lot. besides, my sisters aren’t exactly flower type of girls.. and they’d do you more use than if i kept them

@yungfyre [the needle pricks the padding of her thumb and her weaving comes to a halt. a skill she has practiced and perfected yet still made childish mistakes. she smiles first, then looks her way. taking the irises into her own hands] they’re lovely, raelys.. but why irises?

it is not wrong, but daughters require a different type of care and love in comparison to boys, one that comes rather easy from a women. [ she would know firsthand of that very love and care she ..seemed to lack as soon as she put her mother to rest all of those years ago. their daughter wasn’t traditional, she did enjoy to be outside and training with her brothers and being considered an equal ..but not always. once he turns to glance out the window as the shadows of their dragons almost resemble dark clouds in the night, she opts to wrap her hand around his bicep, accompanied by her chin finding comfort along his shoulder. only then did she pepper an affectionate kiss or two along his cheek before staring out through the window as well ] no matter what you do now, it’ll never appease her ..she’s at that age in which she’s grown more fierce and —- rude, if you will. but if you /try/ to treat her differently in the right ways, it will not go unnoticed. for instance ..take time out of your day in training the boys to do things with her —- she has grown fond of riding upon vaela ..much like her father with his own mount

@khalqrc [no, he did not. there was never a woman so eager to have a sword in her hands and he only knew few of them, one of which was his sister rhaenys, who he has not written to in months time. his shoulders lower and his chest deflated once the breath he was holding was released. He shifted, staring out from the window above, watching the silhouette of bludwynge blend in and disappear into the dark ] perhaps i am.. being too plain with her? she is our only girl, i have learned to raise boys thrice but she— it is only her. is it wrong of me to treat her in the same way i treat the boys? i do not.. wish for her to think she is anything lesser than them

hate is a rather strong word for a girl so young like her. all brothers are nuisances, no matter their age or whether they want to admit it or not ..as are most men, but i digress. you’re right, she is surrounded by nothing more than masculinity —-not including myself, and then she is treated as such. you don’t see most girls her age out in the courtyard with a blade in hand, attempting to best her brothers ..now do you?

DESPITE HAVING A SUPERIORITY COMPLEX all his selfish dreams and aloof nature gets ruined ( in his opinion ) the very day his father made an alliance with house dallen through marriage. as the heir, and first born. matteo rosaunt was subjected to marry THEAH DALLEN when the time comes. an idea he absolutely hates but wouldn’t mind pulling the strings for it to work in his absolute favor . He doesn’t really have to love her. just play his part in front of the public eye and pretend he even has an ounce of care for the dallen girl. ( even if it all falls back on him in the end )

his popularity grew mainly on the race field where he and his mount balthazar gave the lions an actual challenge and force to be reckoned with. his competitiveness never wavered when it came to the wolves, either. never mind if his little sister was present on that team. as a winger, his roughness and brutal force was always excused with the idea of it being how you play— but he’d be a liar if he said the thrill of hurting others, just a bit didn’t put a smile on his face
