@AirCadetFire It sucks to see Ellie return to an empty home, but again it makes sense. Like you said, Dina had to put JJ first. I’ve seen people talk about how sad it was that Ellie couldn’t play the guitar anymore because of her fingers, and they aren’t wrong, of course. I hate to undermine the weight of it, but in all honesty if she were determined enough to (and i’m sure she would be) she could probably learn how to work the fret board with her other hand. I don’t know much about guitar, but it would be hard to strum with only three fingers. Of course, relearning guitar would be hard, but it’s possible. I just thought i’d put it out there.
@PrincessKittySilver (sorry, forgot to tag you in the first part) Not gonna lie, it was annoying to watch Ellie initially choosing revenge over her family, but in a way it makes sense. The whole point from the start, other than to avenge Joel, was for Ellie to find some sort of closure over the loss of Joel and some sort of meaning for her life. Yeah, living peacefully was great and all, but Ellie wasn’t entirely content. After Seattle, Ellie was suffering from PTSD. She had Dina and JJ, but it wasn’t enough. She figured she would find some sort of closure in finishing the job and killing off Abby. Although it was disappointing to watch, it makes sense for her character.
I totally agree. Dina said so herself; she couldn’t just wait there for Ellie to return from another pointless revenge quest with the possibility of her not making it back. It would have been hard to stay at their home taking care of JJ and maintaining the place on her own. Not to mention everything there reminding her of Ellie. It makes sense for Dina to just go back to Jackson.
if ur still a fan of mcsm then pls check out this fan game called “Trust Fall.” it’s a visual novel about jesse and the villains going to therapy. it’s cute and charming, even though it deals with heavy stuff at times. pls check it out it’s amazing and it’s FREE. if u do decide to check it out, i know it’s on itch.io by astral autumn games. don’t think it’s anywhere else tho. pls play it. it’s rly great.
