          !   an au where junko survives her true execution .
          
          junko had recently been supposedly ' executed ' per say , but she had survived - it was unknown how , but it was a relief to her . she wouldve cared less if she had died if it wasnt for someone she was starting to grow . . fond of , in a way . it was a new feeling - an exhilarating one , one that she hadnt felt in years . so she decided to let her feelings grow , since she had planned a date for the two . she had invited togami to come to a fairly nice area outside - one that was surprisingly . . quaint and peaceful . sure , the sky was a shade of harsh and brutal maroon , but the luscious flowers surrounding the spot made up for the skys color . she was currently in a nice , elegant red dress , her hair tied back in a ponytail . she was waiting for the blonde to arrive , making sure everything looked nice , including herself . she didnt want anything to look out of place - she wanted it to be romantic and comforting - the feelings she had missed during her long and ongoing trance of despair .

            togami had been relieved to hear from junko - sure , he had kept up with his act as long as he could , but he couldn't bear to think about junko * actually * dying . it terrified him deep to his core , even if he never showed it to anyone at the future foundation . he had kept the kids unknowing of junko's " passing " , he didn't want to make them even more stressed than they already were . 
            
            hearing this invitation , byakuya quickly got dressed . he swapped out his usual green cross - tie for a red one , making sure everything looked perfect . it had to be ,  he couldn't miss this chance . while he was the one who was taken into the road of despair , he couldn't deny that he had a sort of . . . soft spot , for junko . maybe it was just that she was the only one he could trust , so that made him more happy around her . or they were just working together , and its nice to favor your coworkers . any way he looked at it , byakuya liked her . and that was plain to see .
            
            he quickly made his way out to the planned spot , fixing his jacket at he did so . he crossed his arms , half hoping to be dissapointed with what he found .
            
            that was , quite the opposite of the case .
