I have been with @prettyinpunkbookclub since the beginning of the year, ever since they got in touch to say hello. I have to say, it has been the best decision I ever made. I was always a little wary about book clubs on this platform, a little terrified I'd be stuck in a time consuming loop of dredging through weak fan fiction while having my own work needlessly torn to shreds, but PIP has been anything but that. I am constantly reading original work and the feedback I've received has made me look at my book in a new light. If you're looking to improve your work and read some great books, I'd seriously recommend them. Also, it's only 4 chapters every two weeks, which even I can do. They are also celebrating their 2nd birthday, so at the very least, wish them a happy birthday!

@a_pintobean Aw. Thanks! We love having you as part of the group! And no, we don't have much fan fiction. Only two books out of all those members. :D

Hello!

          Lessons from a Christmas Tree:
Be a light in the darkness.
          We all fall over sometimes.
You can never wear too much glitter.
          Bring joy to others.
Sparkle and twinkle as often as possible.
It's okay to be a little tilted.
          ~ Jane Lee Logan

Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year! And best wishes for 2022!

          Your PIP club friend.

I recently got involved with the monsters @prettyinpunkbookclub and their blistering constructive feedback along with the wide range of talented authors and books to read, so I entered The God Complex in the Punk Rock Book Awards (Humour category). Go check them out and wish me luck!

@guywortheyauthor Thanks! I always felt my life was missing a good cult. Now, if someone could point me in the direction of the starship that will take us to the promised land, I'll start giving away all my possessions and prepare the 'special' kool aid for everyone.

@a_pintobean Regarding Pretty in Punk, welcome to the cult. (Are we locked in with you? Or are you locked in with us? Muah-ha-ha!)

Shiver me timbers! A big Yo Ho Ho to The Captain @sciencefiction for adding The Book of Alan to Captain's Choice Reading List, it's always touchingly surreal when it gets noticed. Also, not sure why I immediately assumed they are a nautical Captain but I'm sticking with it, eye patch, Parrot and all. Cheers m'hearty.

How are there only three and a half weeks left to go??? Time to dig in peeps, and the digging has never been smoother with two new amazing books added to the list. Treat yourselves, you've earned it...probably.

Week ten of the #WP2020 Summer Reading Challenge proves that this is still anyone’s game! Our top three readers this week are @TsheringYekzin @ToryQuinn and @Fathii7 with honorable mentions to challenge newcomer @translatorofdreams @Nacht_Owl and @ruzlan1109! If you’re just coming across this challenge, it’s not too late to join—just hop on in and start reading (don’t forget to use the hashtag #WP2020)! And if you’re trying for the weekly reader shout-outs, please add your tallies to the Tallies and Weekly Winners chapter by the end of Saturday, September 5th. We’re introducing two new stories this week: Watty’s longlister The Golden Flower by @StephRose1201 and the very creepy pandemic story The Girls Left Behind by @JoshTownley! Make sure to add their stories to your reading lists and give them a try—you won’t be disappointed! Have a safe week and happy reading! @LLSanders and @Monrosey https://my.w.tt/vdP1QinUd9

Listen, both you and I know that you're a sucker for the Summer, for reading and a challenge - it's written all over your face so I don't know why you're trying to deny it? So how about we stop all this nonsense and you go check out the absurdly talented writers that have been added to the #WP2020 Summer Reading Challenge... go on!

The #WP2020 Summer Reading Challenge tallies are in for week eight—and we’d just like to say, these readers are absolutely killing it! Top readers this week are @MehakGupta163 @Nacht_Owl and @Fathii7, with honorable mentions to @TsheringYekzin @Lvcky_Vi @Lucentbeauty and @ladyphoenix001! There are several readers participating but not always sharing their tallies for the weekly shout-outs, so if you do not see your name here, please don’t be alarmed! Everything you read will be added together at the end of summer to determine our overall winners. Thank you ALL for playing along! If you’re just stumbling across this challenge, it’s not too late to join! All you have to do is check out the rules in the challenge book and start reading! We have two new stories to add this week: a YA mystery/thriller called The Loser’s Guide to Revenge by @xdanielletee and teen celebrity romance All These Impossible Stars by @JenniferFarwell. Please add their stories to your reading lists and give them a read! For those who’d like to participate in the next weekly reader shout-out, make sure to add your weekly tallies to the Tallies and Weekly Winners chapter by Saturday evening, August 22nd! Have a fantastic week and happy reading! @LLSanders and @Monrosey https://my.w.tt/WG42R5mbD8
